It is forecasted that on June 2, in the North Central region, the Northern Delta and Hoa Binh, the heat will continue to be intense, with some places experiencing particularly intense heat with the highest temperature commonly ranging from 37-39 degrees Celsius, and some places over 40 degrees Celsius.
In other places in the North, Central and South Central regions, there is hot weather, some places are extremely hot with the highest temperature commonly 35-37 degrees Celsius, some places over 38 degrees Celsius.
"Due to the effects of hot weather combined with low humidity in the air, there is a high risk of explosions and fires in residential areas due to increased demand for electricity and the risk of forest fires.
In addition, hot weather can also cause dehydration, exhaustion, and heat stroke in the human body when exposed to high temperatures for a long time," the meteorological agency warned.
From the night of June 2, in the North, there will be rain, moderate rain and scattered thunderstorms, locally heavy rain to very heavy rain, so the heat wave will end from June 3.
The heat wave in the Central region may continue for many days to come, but June 4 and 5 may be milder.
The Meteorological and Hydrological Agency said that in June, there may continue to be a few heat waves in the North and Central regions. It is necessary to be on guard against the possibility of severe heat (over 37 degrees Celsius) and especially severe heat (over 39 degrees Celsius) in the above areas.
In June, the Northern and North Central regions will likely experience some widespread heavy rains.
In the Central Highlands and Southern regions, the southwest monsoon tends to become stronger, so rain is likely to increase in both area and amount.
