Hanoi is among the 15 most popular cities for tourists.

Vietnam's capital Hanoi is honored to be one of the 15 most popular cities in the world for tourists in 2025.

According to Time Out , this ranking is based on the results of an analysis of Google flight, hotel and itinerary search data each year by UK-based travel insurance company InsureandGo .

This year’s results show a shift in global tourism trends, with Hanoi standing out thanks to its rich cultural heritage, historical monuments and unique cuisine . Famous destinations such as the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long, the Temple of Literature and the Old Quarter attract millions of visitors each year.

Besides, Hanoi cuisine with specialties such as pho, bun cha, La Vong fish cake, Thanh Tri rice rolls,... are also highly appreciated by international tourists.

Other cities on this year's list include: Tokyo (Japan), Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), Beijing (China), Chicago (USA), Chiang Mai (Thailand), Jakarta (Indonesia), Santiago (Chile), Buenos Aires (Argentina),...

This year’s list also reflects the growing desire of travellers to explore destinations with a strong cultural identity and less affected by overtourism. Hanoi, with its unique combination of history, culture and cuisine, is increasingly becoming an attractive choice on the global tourism map.

Recently, Hanoi was honored to be ranked 9th, and also the highest-ranked Asian representative in the list of the world's top 20 cities for cultural and artistic experiences by Time Out.
