Dong Nai province has 8 new products recognized as meeting the national 5-star OCOP standard, including: pure cocoa powder and 3-in-1 cocoa powder of Trong Duc Cocoa Company Limited (Phu Hoa commune); salted egg cheese cashew nuts, original salted roasted cashew nuts, garlic chili cashew nuts, original vegetarian roasted cashew nuts of Nga Bien Import Export Company Limited (Xuan Hoa commune); Phuc Hung Long Essential health protection food, Phuc Hung Long Premium health protection food of Tam Tam An Medicinal Materials Company Limited (Hung Thinh commune).
Enhance brand value for local products
According to the 5-star OCOP entities recently recognized in Dong Nai, to improve OCOP-standard products, businesses have focused on building sustainable raw material areas, investing in technology, developing marketing channels, and promoting products to bring products closer to consumers, expanding domestic and export markets.
Director of Trong Duc Cocoa Company Limited Dang Tuong Khanh shared that the company proactively invests in applying and converting science and technology in production. At the same time, connecting and developing local raw material areas to develop production. The source of raw materials to produce these products is concentrated in Dong Nai. In addition to 4 5-star OCOP products, the company currently has 5 3-4 star OCOP products. In the coming time, the company will continue to make efforts to constantly improve product quality, maintain and upgrade OCOP products; as well as focus on activities to build images and brand stories for the company's products.
In addition to agricultural products and deeply processed foods, this occasion also has 2 products belonging to the group of medicinal herbs and medicinal products of Dong Nai that meet 5-star OCOP standards. These are Phuc Hung Long Essential health protection food products, Phuc Hung Long Premium health protection food products of Tam Tam An Medicinal Herbs Company Limited.
Director of Tam Tam An Pharmaceutical Company Limited Nguyen Van Khon said that both products that have just been recognized as 5-star OCOP of the company are extracted and processed from the precious medicinal plant Xao Tam Phan with local raw materials. These products are prepared and manufactured in the direction of deep processing to meet the criteria for health protection products. Currently, the company has developed products to many provinces and cities across the country. In addition, the products have been exported to a number of markets such as: Shanghai (China), Czech Republic...
New premise for market development
With the recognition of 5-star OCOP products, local products will have many opportunities to promote domestic consumption markets, as well as access and develop potential export markets. Thereby, contributing to bringing OCOP products to the big sea, leading the integration trend.
Party Secretary, Chairman of Xuan Hoa Commune People's Council TA QUANG TRUONG shared that in the coming time, Xuan Hoa Commune will determine to develop the OCOP program in a professional and sustainable direction, especially for the 5-star OCOP products that have just been recognized. The locality will focus on supporting production entities to improve product quality, build product stories associated with indigenous culture. In particular, the commune will focus on applying technology in promoting and consuming products, through digital platforms, e-commerce platforms, etc.
Mr. Hieu Le added that Nga Bien Import Export Company Limited will continue to strive to enhance the brand associated with developing unique features in local culture. At the same time, he believes that local authorities at provincial and communal levels will continue to create favorable conditions to promote and expand activities promoting local products in general and 5-star OCOP products in particular. From there, local products will be brought to more consumers through stops, tourist promotion points, as well as connecting products on e-commerce platforms, modern retail systems, etc.
