Regularly recording mistakes in the learning process and handling exercises is the secret to studying well for Nguyen Quang Minh, a 12th grade student of Math 2, Bac Ninh High School for the Gifted No. 1).
Minh is the national valedictorian of block A00 in the 2025 High School Graduation Exam with a perfect score of 30/30 points.
Special "handbook"
Since the results of the 2025 High School Graduation Exam were announced, Nguyen Quang Minh's small house in Lien Ha neighborhood (Dai Xuan ward, Bac Ninh province) has always been bustling with relatives and neighbors coming to congratulate and celebrate with the family.
Vinh's outstanding achievements are a testament to the constant efforts and correct orientation of Bac Ninh province'seducation system.
Not complacent despite being the top student in block A00 (with 3 subjects: Math 10 points, Physics 10 points and Chemistry 10 points), Minh always tells himself to try harder on the path to conquering knowledge in the future.
With this result, I will study artificial intelligence, information technology, Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
At the corner of the simple, small, neatly arranged study table, Minh confided that since childhood he had a special passion for Mathematics. The more he studied and researched, the more difficult problems he discovered, stimulating him to find solutions, conquer knowledge, and surpass himself.
Coming from a family with a tradition of studiousness, his mother is a teacher and his older brother is a good student, so Minh always creates in himself a sense of self-study. Therefore, Minh has been an excellent student for 12 years in high school.
Minh studied and trained at Bac Ninh High School No. 1 - a high-quality educational environment where everyone is always self-conscious in their studies, which helped Minh become more mature.
Initially, when entering school, Minh was “disappointed” when he was not selected for the gifted student team. However, just 2 weeks later, with the support of his family and teachers, he began to find joy in studying again.

Minh studied all subjects, spent time reviewing, doing exercises, correcting mistakes and practicing quick thinking. Whenever he encountered a difficult problem or discovered an error, Minh carefully wrote it down in a notebook and considered it a "handbook" that he always carried with him.
The valedictorian of block A00 chose to study independently, seeking knowledge through books, online study groups, and teaching videos of teachers and study groups on Facebook.
According to Minh, this is a good way to study because he can learn many new ways to solve problems and answer questions that he has not found the answer to yet. In particular, Minh studies according to the principle of finishing the exercises of the day that day.
Reap the "sweet fruit"
Accompanying her child throughout 12 years of school, Ms. Tran Thi Hoa (Minh's mother) watched the high school graduation exam results with her.
Ms. Hoa said that all night on July 16, mother and son were awake, waiting for the next morning to check the exam results. This result was not too surprising for Minh and his family. Because after finishing the exam, the child was able to self-evaluate his ability.
This result is the result of Minh's efforts and the correct policy of the Education Department of Bac Ninh province. The moment the registration number was entered and the results were displayed, both Hoa and her daughter were overwhelmed with emotion.
Teacher Nguyen Thuy Linh (Nguyen Quang Minh's homeroom teacher) shared that as soon as he finished his high school graduation exam, Minh reported that he answered all the multiple choice questions correctly in the three exams of Math, Physics, and Chemistry and confidently achieved 30 points as the top scorer.
This result did not surprise her because in daily life as well as in studying, Minh always had a strong will. He was not outstanding but he tried hard.

By the second semester of grade 12, he had a strong breakthrough. Contrary to his daily shyness, during his studies, when he encountered difficult problems or did not understand, Minh boldly texted and asked his teachers. The road ahead is still long, so I hope Minh will continue to make more efforts and not "rest on his laurels."
It is known that Minh's Math 2 class at Bac Ninh High School for the Gifted No. 1 also has many outstanding members. Typically, Vu Minh Duc, the highest scorer ever in the 2025 TSA (thinking assessment) exam organized by Hanoi University of Science and Technology with 98.61/100 points, the national runner-up in block A00 with 29.75 points; Le Quang Minh, the runner-up in the 2025 TSA exam of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, with a score of block A00 of 29.50 points...
