On the evening of December 4, the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee held an award ceremony for composing and promoting literary, artistic and journalistic works with the theme of Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style , phase 2, 2021-2025, at the Ho Chi Minh City Radio and Television Theater.

The award attracts many young authors.

The award aims to recognize and honor works and authors with achievements in promoting, motivating and encouraging artists, journalists and people to create works that promote the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style .

Attending the event were Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Le Quoc Phong, Deputy Commander of the Navy Le Ba Quan, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Duong Anh Duc, Vice Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Tran Thi Dieu Thuy... along with former leaders, delegates, and award-winning authors.

Honoring typical examples of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's style in the Northern region

Mr. Duong Anh Duc - Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee - said that this year the organizing committee received 314 entries in the following categories: literature, music , theater, cinema, fine arts, dance, architecture, journalism and publishing.

Of these, there are 153 works belonging to the professional sector (including 84 literary and artistic works, 69 press and publishing works) and 128 works belonging to the movement sector (songs, folk songs, amateur music, poems, short stories, memoirs, calligraphy, paintings, etc.).

“This award attracts many young authors, the movement promotes literary and artistic talents among the masses in local clubs and groups, further affirming the attraction of the award.

I hope that the city's artists and journalists will continue to promote a sense of responsibility, constantly innovate their thinking and creative methods, and seek out modern and attractive expressions, especially for young people," Mr. Duong Anh Duc emphasized.

Many artists were honored

The organizing committee selected and awarded 115 professional and grassroots awards to 127 authors and groups of authors. The professional category (literature, art, journalism - publishing) had 6 A prizes, 13 B prizes, 19 C prizes, and 12 consolation prizes.

Of which, 6 A prizes were awarded to the song Continuing the story of peace (musician Nguyen Van Chung), the dance Peace Warriors (script Dang Quang Luat), and the play Comrade (author Le Thu Hanh);

The series of articles "With the people's consent, difficult things can be accomplished" (authors of Saigon Giai Phong newspaper), the documentary " Forever a belief" (TFS Television Studio), the book " Steadfast steps on the path of President Ho Chi Minh" selected (General Publishing House).

Musician Nguyen Van Chung shared that writing songs expressing patriotism is his responsibility. “I am fortunate to have the opportunity to participate in trips to the source. When I arrive at the red addresses, my heart is filled with deep gratitude, and I hope to contribute and spread the spirit of patriotism even more,” the musician said.

In the professional sector, the organizing committee honored 14 groups and 16 individuals with promotion awards. Among them, there are artists Tu Suong, Trung Thao, Vo Thanh Phe, Phung Ngoc Bay, singer Nguyen Phi Hung, director Bui Thac Chuyen , producer Nguyen Tri Vien, musician Le Anh Tu, photographer Doan Hoai Trung, the film crew Tunnels - Sun in the Dark...

In the movement block, the organizing committee awarded 4 first prizes, 7 second prizes, 9 third prizes, and 15 consolation prizes.

In addition, the organizing committee also congratulated the authors and works that won awards for composing and promoting literary, artistic and journalistic works with the theme of Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission.
