Overview of the 9th Session, Standing Committee of the 19th Provincial People's Council, term 2021 - 2026.

As planned, the 2nd session of the 19th Provincial People's Council will take place in 3 days (from the afternoon of December 8 to the morning of December 11) at the Provincial Convention Center. Tuyen Quang Newspaper, Radio and Television will broadcast live on TTV channel and digital platforms on the morning of December 9, December 10 and December 11, creating favorable conditions for voters and people to follow.

At the meeting, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council listened to, considered and gave opinions on the Report on the progress of the organization of the second session; the preparation work for the awarding of 100 gifts by Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh to the people in the province (50 gifts were given directly at the session; 50 gifts were handed over to the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee to organize the awarding later).

The second session will consider and approve draft resolutions in many areas: Internal affairs, economy - budget, culture - society, land... At the same time, the session invites 124 delegates of the People's Council at the commune level to attend plenary sessions and discuss in groups. The main contents of the session include: Evaluating the results of the implementation of the socio-economic development tasks in 2025, orientations for 2026; reviewing the 5-year socio-economic development plan 2026 - 2030; 5-year financial plan for the period 2026 - 2030; conducting questions and answers; summarizing the work of the Provincial People's Council for the term 2021 - 2026...

Concluding the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Van Son requested the committees and offices to accept the direction of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council; continue to carefully prepare all conditions to successfully organize the second session. He emphasized the need to check and urge the progress, promptly resolve problems, and ensure the session takes place on time, according to regulations and requirements.

Regarding the content of the discussion at the meeting, he requested the Committees of the Provincial People's Council to prepare carefully, because many draft resolutions have a wide scope of impact, directly related to the development orientation of the province in the coming period. Some resolutions will be discussed in the Group, some in the hall, so it is necessary to pay attention to the preparation stage so that the discussion organization takes place smoothly and scientifically so that delegates can promote the highest sense of responsibility, ensure democracy, publicity, transparency, contribute quality opinions, and demonstrate collective intelligence.

Regarding the gift giving by the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Van Son requested to carefully prepare the seating area for the people, arrange the order of receiving gifts solemnly and conveniently, showing the concern of the leaders of the National Assembly and the province.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Council emphasized that this session is very important, with a large amount of work and short preparation time. There are many draft resolutions with far-reaching impacts, so the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council and the Committees of the Provincial People's Council must closely direct, review according to regulations, ensure quality, and contribute to the overall success of the session.

There is not much time left until the meeting, so he requested the leaders of the Provincial People's Council Committees to continue to carefully review the contents related to the resolution, ensuring feasibility and suitability in the context of increased decentralization; absolutely not allowing the "ask - give" mechanism to occur in policy making.
