According to a quick report from 3 localities, the circulation of storm No. 10 has caused heavy damage to production and people's lives. Of which, Truong Sinh commune has 8 households that have to be evacuated, 4 households are at risk of needing to be evacuated; 30m of DT 186 road and 15m of inter-village road were eroded; many irrigation works were damaged; more than 200 hectares of rice, corn, sugarcane, and vegetables were flooded and collapsed.

Hong Son commune has 1,006 households affected by natural disasters, of which 51 households (144 people) had to be urgently evacuated; more than 300 hectares of crops, nearly 19 hectares of fish ponds were flooded, overflowed; many irrigation works, roads, and livestock barns were damaged. The commune People's Committee proposed that superiors support machinery and motorboats to access and rescue deeply flooded and isolated areas. Dong Tho commune has many sections of road that have been eroded, damaged, and flooded, directly affecting agricultural production and people's lives.

The working group directly inspected the dike through the communes, the on-duty work, handled some points of extrusion, water probe under the dike foot; inspected the scene of some flooded and landslide areas. Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Van Son praised the sense of responsibility, initiative, and efforts of the Party Committee, authorities, and local forces in the southern communes of the province in responding, promptly evacuating people, and preventing human losses.

He emphasized that the weather and natural disasters are still complicated, so localities must not be subjective or negligent. All levels and sectors need to mobilize maximum resources, promptly support people to evacuate to safe places, overcome the consequences of natural disasters, and soon stabilize their lives and production.

Localities should urgently compile a full list of damages and ensure timely support so that no household goes hungry or lacks safe housing; pay special attention to poor households, policy households, and disadvantaged families. Communes should closely monitor weather developments and proactively evacuate people when there is a risk of insecurity; and effectively promote the "4 on-site" motto.

He also suggested strengthening propaganda, raising people's vigilance, and preparing forces and means to respond in areas at high risk of landslides and flooding. On this occasion, the working group presented gifts and encouraged two households affected by landslides and flooding, contributing to helping people overcome immediate difficulties and soon stabilize their lives.
