Mr. Tran Tri Quang was appointed Chairman of Vinh Long province.

Mr. Tran Tri Quang (48 years old), Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Vinh Long province to replace his predecessor, Mr. Lu Quang Ngoi.

On the morning of November 18, at the third thematic session of the People's Council of Vinh Long province, term X, term 2021-2026, delegates voted to elect Mr. Tran Tri Quang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Vinh Long province to replace his predecessor, Mr. Lu Quang Ngoi.

The result was 127/128 votes in favor of electing Mr. Tran Tri Quang to hold the position of Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee.

The meeting approved the proposal to dismiss Mr. Lu Quang Ngoi from the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Vinh Long province. Mr. Ngoi was assigned by the Secretariat to participate in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee, and was elected by the People's Council of Ca Mau province to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province for the 2021-2026 term.

In his speech accepting the assignment, the new Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee, Tran Tri Quang, said that in his new position, to successfully implement the goals set out in the Resolution of the First Provincial Party Congress, he and the Provincial People's Committee will focus on directing and operating to build an honest, creative, decisive and people-serving government.

He emphasized that he will focus on economic restructuring associated with growth model innovation, creating breakthrough momentum; mobilizing all investment resources to develop synchronous and modern infrastructure and comprehensively develop cultural and social fields, improve the quality of human resources and ensure social security.

"With the assigned responsibility and before the People's Council, before the leaders, before the people and voters, I always remind myself every day to be wholehearted - close to the people - close to the work - effective. I would like to consider that as a measure to self-reflect and self-correct throughout the working process.

At the same time, always maintain solidarity and unity within the Provincial People's Committee, promptly and effectively implement tasks assigned by the Provincial Party Committee and People's Council, closely coordinate with the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to create a combined strength, and successfully complete all tasks", affirmed the new Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee Tran Tri Quang.

Previously, on the afternoon of November 17, Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the decision of the Secretariat on the transfer and appointment of Mr. Tran Tri Quang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Thap province, to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee.

Mr. Tran Tri Quang was born in 1977, his hometown is Cao Lanh city (now Cao Lanh ward, Dong Thap province). He has a high level of political theory, a master's degree in traffic construction and a master's degree in economic management.

Before being elected as Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Tran Tri Quang held many positions, such as: Director of the Department of Transport, Secretary of Cao Lanh City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee.

On March 28, at the 13th session, the People's Council of Dong Thap province (old) elected Mr. Tran Tri Quang to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Thap province.

From July 1, implementing the merger of Dong Thap province with Tien Giang (old), Mr. Tran Tri Quang was appointed by the Prime Minister to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Thap province (new), term 2021-2026.
