Neymar is accused of concealing an injury and deceiving coach Ancelotti in order to participate in the World Cup.

Previously, coach Ancelotti surprised everyone by still trusting and calling up Neymar to join Brazil in the most exciting tournament on the planet, taking place in the US, Mexico, and Canada this June.

However, on May 28th, the medical team of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) confirmed that Neymar had suffered a serious injury and would be out for at least two to three weeks. It's worth noting that Santos FC had previously stated that Neymar only had minor bruising on his leg and was fit enough to play for Brazil at the World Cup.

However, after Neymar underwent an MRI scan, doctors confirmed that the former Barcelona star had suffered a grade two muscle tear, meaning that up to 50% of the muscle fibers were partially severed, accompanied by internal bleeding and severe infection.

Therefore, Neymar will definitely miss Brazil's friendly matches against Panama at the Maracana Stadium (Brazil) on June 1st and against Egypt in Cleveland (USA) on June 6th. The striker, born in 1992, will also not recover in time to play in Brazil's opening match against Morocco on June 13th.

There were even doubts about whether Neymar would recover in time to participate in Brazil's group stage matches against Haiti and Scotland. "He deliberately hid his injury, doing everything he could to be in the World Cup," an angry Brazilian fan expressed.

CNB Global also revealed FIFA's regulations regarding the possibility of Brazil having to exclude Neymar from the squad for the 2026 World Cup, even though he was already registered.

"According to FIFA World Cup regulations, any team can replace a player who is injured or seriously ill within 24 hours of their first match in the tournament."

"To be eligible to substitute a player, teams need to prove that the injury or illness is serious and have approval from FIFA's medical department," CBN Global revealed.
