Attending the Congress on the Central side were Senior Lieutenant General Be Xuan Truong - Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman of the Vietnam Veterans Association.

On the side of Gia Lai province, there were comrades attending: Thai Dai Ngoc - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Ngoc Luong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Nguyen Thi Phong Vu - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; Huynh Thuy Van - Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich - Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee; Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the Armed Forces; and 370 outstanding war veterans representing nearly 70,000 members across the province.

In the 2022-2025 term, the Provincial Veterans Association has promoted the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", united, innovated, and completed most of the set targets. The work of participating in Party and government building; consolidating the great national unity bloc; and maintaining national defense and security has been effectively implemented.
The movements of "Exemplary war veterans" and "War veterans help each other reduce poverty and do good business " have spread widely, contributing to improving the lives of members.
Up to now, the whole province has 69,935 members in 2,660 branches; the rate of poor member households has decreased to 2.08%.

The Congress agreed on the direction and tasks for the 2025-2030 term with key goals such as: 100% of members are steadfast in politics and ideology; admit over 85% of eligible subjects; annually over 90% of Association organizations and over 80% of cadres and members complete their tasks well; reduce 1-1.5% of poor war veteran households/year; digitize 100% of member information.
Speaking at the Congress, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Dai Ngoc acknowledged and commended the achievements of the Provincial Veterans Association in the past term; at the same time, requested that the Association at all levels continue to strengthen political and ideological education; maintain steadfastness, and resolutely fight against the plot of "peaceful evolution".
The Provincial Party Secretary requested the Association to proactively take advantage of policies and effectively integrate programs to improve the quality of the movement "War veterans help each other reduce poverty and do good business"; replicate effective production models; and strive to have no more poor war veterans.

Along with that, the Association needs to actively coordinate traditional education and foster revolutionary ideals for the young generation; and accompany young people in establishing themselves and their careers.
The Provincial Party Secretary emphasized the need to continue building a strong Association in terms of politics, ideology and organization; innovate the content and methods of operation; diversify forms of gathering members; and improve the quality of the Association's staff to meet tasks in the new situation.

The Congress announced the decision to appoint the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and key positions of the Gia Lai Provincial Veterans Association, term VIII. Mr. Pham Manh Hung, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, continues to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial Veterans Association for the 2025-2030 term.

On this occasion, the Vietnam Veterans Association, the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial Veterans Association awarded collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the past term.
