Attending the congress were Standing Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association Nguyen Minh Triet; Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Ngo Xuan Thang; Chairman of the City Fatherland Front Committee Le Tri Thanh; Head of the City Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Huynh Thi Thuy Dung; Vice Chairman of the City People's Council Doan Ngoc Hung Anh; Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan.

In his opening speech, Secretary of the City Youth Union Le Cong Hung emphasized that the past term was a transitional period full of challenges but also achieved many successes.

Quang Nam - Da Nang Youth with the spirit of "Solidarity - Pioneering - Aspiration - Creativity - Development" has promoted the role of vanguard, creativity, leading in revolutionary action movements, volunteering for the community, participating in building and defending the Fatherland.

The work of the Youth Union and the youth movement in the city has achieved many positive changes, with most of the targets completed; 24 city-level youth projects and 9,489 grassroots youth projects were built, with a total value of over 43 billion VND.

The Youth Union has many innovations in its operating methods to adapt to new conditions, strongly utilizing digital transformation in its activities.

The revolutionary action movements of the Youth Union have been deployed synchronously, extensively and effectively; promoting the vanguard and voluntary role of youth in socio-economic development, maintaining national defense and security, and ensuring social security.

Through the action movements of the Union, the image of youth in the new era has been built: brave, enthusiastic, kind, ready to devote and contribute.

The accompanying programs support the resolution of the legitimate and legal needs and aspirations of young people, helping the Union become closer and truly become a close friend of young people on the path to establishing a career.

The Secretary of the City Youth Union emphasized that entering a new phase, the new Da Nang city after the merger faces many opportunities, chances and room for development, and is expected to become a national center of innovation, creativity, high technology and startups, a pioneer in many economic fields.

The young generation has benefited from the great achievements of the country's renovation and the two-tier government model. The unification of administrative boundaries, along with the arrangement and streamlining of the political system, has placed higher demands on the young generation.

The city’s youth need to inherit the revolutionary tradition, steadfastly follow the Party’s goals and ideals, and be pioneers in mastering knowledge, science and technology, and aspiring to start a business and be creative. Along with that, they need to promote their pioneering role in the fields of sustainable development, digital transformation, green economy, marine economy, culture - tourism and international integration.

The congress reviewed the implementation of the Resolution of the Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Da Nang city and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Quang Nam province (old) in the past term; objectively assessed the results achieved, pointed out limitations, causes and lessons learned; at the same time, proposed directions, goals and tasks of the Youth Union and youth movement for the 2025 - 2030 term; contributed comments on draft documents to be submitted to the 13th National Youth Union Congress, term 2026 - 2031...

With the Congress's motto: "Pioneer - Solidarity - Courage - Breakthrough - Development", the Youth Union is determined to build a strong and comprehensive force, truly becoming the Party's reliable reserve force, a revolutionary shock force, and at the same time a socialist school for youth.
