If we liken top-scoring entrance exam candidates to seeds brimming with aspirations, then top-scoring graduates are like flowers in their most vibrant bloom. With a ready mindset, all these outstanding individuals are using their youth and knowledge to contribute and write new chapters in the development of the country.
The journey to conquer the peak.
Student Nguyen Ho Bao Khanh, the top-scoring student in the entrance exam at Ba Ria - Vung Tau University with a score of 28.07/30, also won third prize in the provincial-level Geography competition for gifted students in 2023-2024 and the title of "Excellent Student" at the provincial level for the 2024-2025 academic year.
Sharing her journey to becoming valedictorian, Bao Khanh said it wasn't just about grades, but also about personal growth through youth union and student association activities and community service.
"While in high school, I was assigned the role of Deputy Secretary of the school's Youth Union. It is thanks to the Youth Union and Student Association movements that I am today, more confident and assertive in sharing my story and spreading positive energy to new university students," Bao Khanh shared.

Student Nguyen Ho Bao Khanh, the top-scoring student in the entrance exam at Ba Ria - Vung Tau University, shared her experience at the program.
Speaking about her most memorable experience, Bao Khanh said it was the "Journey of Three Goods - A Good Thing Every Day" project, which she and her classmates from Chau Thanh High School built together. The project aimed to support students in developing skills through workshops, sharing sessions, group activities, etc., helping each student to self-assess, contribute ideas to each other, and improve together.
"Thanks to those efforts, I was fortunate enough to win the 'Excellent Student' award at the provincial level twice, a source of pride and a springboard that helped me confidently enter university. Those experiences helped me realize that I need to continue striving towards the 'Excellent Student' title, becoming a capable and responsible Youth Union/Student Association officer who dares to make a difference. I hope Ho Chi Minh City will have more opportunities, scholarships, and beneficial activities for students to develop their talents, giving me more experiences to grow and mature," Bao Khanh expressed.
Another outstanding student is Duong Nhat Nam, the valedictorian of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy in 2025. Dr. Duong Nhat Nam, valedictorian of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy in 2025, recounts his journey participating in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
Nhat Nam shared: many students, when reminiscing about their student days, often remember classes, exams, or activities with friends. But for Nam, the most profound memory is the decision to join the volunteer team during the Covid-19 outbreak. Nam participated in the "Counseling and Caring for F0 Patients at Home" campaign organized by the Student Union and Association of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy.
Nhat Nam recounted: "One morning, I received a call from a young man whose voice was trembling and his breathing was rapid. He was so worried that he thought his condition was worsening. I reassured him, guided him on recognizing the symptoms, how to handle panic, and told him that whenever he felt unwell, he should call the counseling team; they were always ready to help."

After the consultation, she calmed down and her health returned to normal. She shared that she was panicking because she witnessed many people around her getting worse and dying. That story made me realize even more that studying medicine is not just about curing diseases, but also about listening, accompanying, and healing patients' fears. Today, standing here as a young doctor, what I aspire to is not academic degrees or fame, but the image of a dedicated, careful doctor who makes patients feel secure in their care."
Acknowledging the efforts of young people.
