The podcast "Learning and Chilling at the Same Time - Just Partying a Little" organized by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Union attracted thousands of students who watched it via livestream on the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Union's TikTok channel, featuring famous young guests.

During a livestream, when discussing peer pressure, Meichan stated that this is a feeling many young people experience, including herself. Meichan revealed that there were times when she frequently compared herself to others. Seeing her peers achieve great things, have good jobs, excel in academics, are proficient in foreign languages, or have seemingly stable lives, she wondered why others could do it while she couldn't.

"I want more, I want to be better, but there are things I can't do right away, so I naturally feel pressured," Meichan confided. According to her, what makes the pressure even heavier is when we only see the final result of others without seeing the process they went through, the failures, the struggles. From there, admiration easily turns into self-reproach and self-doubt.

For Chou.iu, peer pressure is nothing new. She recounts that she used to struggle with Chemistry, so whenever she sees classmates who excel in Chemistry, she feels both admiration and a sense of inferiority.

That feeling made her realize that sometimes pressure doesn't come from others intentionally putting pressure on you, but from how you view their achievements. Chou.iu believes that many young people often look at the results of others and ask themselves: "Why can they do it and I can't?"

But everyone has different starting points, strengths, and journeys. Failing to get into a prestigious university was a turning point that put a lot of pressure on Chou.iu, because at that time, she had to confront feelings of disappointment in herself. However, that experience helped her understand that failing once doesn't mean you're a failure forever.

Top student Hơ Beng also frankly shared that she always felt pressured because "there are always higher mountains to climb." For Beng, passing the entrance exam to the specialized high school is a proud achievement, the result of her efforts, and a great joy for her.

However, after that initial pride, she entered an environment filled with many peers who were even more talented in other areas. Some had high IELTS scores, some had won national academic awards, and others excelled in extracurricular activities.

"At that time, the achievements that once made me proud sometimes became a new pressure, the pressure to continue proving myself, to maintain a good position, and not fall behind," Beng shared.
