Exceeded target

Mr. Ho Duc Phoc - member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee, Deputy Prime Minister - attended and directed the congress. During the 2020 - 2025 term, despite facing many difficulties due to fluctuations in the domestic and international situation, the Group's Party Committee has completed most of the targets set out in the 3rd Congress Resolution.

Commercial coal output reached 198.4 million tons, exceeding the plan by 4%. Other targets such as alumina, electricity and industrial explosives all met or exceeded the targets.

Party building work has many innovations, is substantial and effective. Party activities have been maintained, discipline and order within the Party have been strengthened. The comprehensive leadership role of the Party Committee continues to be affirmed, especially in maintaining national energy security.

4 pillars of development

Speaking at the congress, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc highly appreciated the achievements that the group has made, and at the same time oriented the key tasks in the new term: promoting comprehensive transformation towards "green - digital - effective - sustainable".

TKV has determined that the coal industry must be "greened" to keep up with global trends. In the coming term, the group will prioritize the application of modern mining technology, reduce emissions, limit environmental impacts and gradually transform the production model towards friendliness and sustainability.

Not stopping at raw mining, the group focuses on investing in deep processing of minerals, especially strategic minerals for renewable energy, battery production and industrial components.

This is an important direction to increase domestic value and reduce import dependence.

The Group will synchronously deploy digital solutions in production, administration, operation and safety control.

Applying digital technology helps the group increase productivity, make processes transparent and improve risk management capacity.

TKV aims to build a streamlined, flexible and efficient apparatus. The operating mechanism will shift strongly towards the market, increasing autonomy for member units, while improving the quality of cadres and leadership capacity of party committees at all levels.

During the 2025 - 2030 term, the group sets out many important targets in production activities:

Average production of 38.6 million tons of coal/year; Production of 6.5 million tons of alumina; Target production of 53.75 billion kWh of electricity and 396,000 tons of industrial explosives/year.

Regarding Party building, strive for 90% of grassroots party organizations and party members to fulfill their tasks well, and the number of newly admitted party members to increase by at least 3% compared to present.

Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc asked the group to continue promoting human resources and natural resources to create breakthroughs and enhance competitiveness.

The Group needs to ensure harmony between economic development goals and environmental protection, labor safety and improving workers' lives.

At the same time, building a strong Party organization in terms of politics, ideology, organization and personnel, ensuring comprehensive leadership in the context of increasingly fierce integration and competition.

The Congress elected the Party Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term, consisting of 33 comrades. These are cadres with sufficient qualities, capacity, and courage to lead the group to successfully achieve the set goals.

On July 18, the congress continued its program with the following contents: electing the delegation to attend the 1st Government Party Congress, discussing and approving the report on comments on the draft documents of the 14th National Party Congress and other important contents.
