Many social welfare support activities

On December 4th, the Women's Union of Hoa Tien commune, in coordination with the Children's Protection Fund and the Youth Union of the Da Nang City People's Committee, organized the handover of funds for house repairs and livelihood support for poor women; and donated study corners to orphaned children in the commune.

Through the City Children's Protection Fund, the Australian Global Relief Organization (AOGWR) provided livelihood support to 10 disadvantaged women members, including sewing machines, sugarcane juice carts, chicken breeds, cattle breeds, and pig breeds, totaling 60 million VND.

Two female members affected by natural disasters received financial assistance of 17.5 million VND for house repairs, funded by the Children of Vietnam organization.

In addition, the Youth Union of the People's Committee of the city donated 10 study corners to orphaned children in the "Godmother" program, with a total cost of 15 million VND.

At the event, the Women's Union of Hoa Tien commune, the Youth Union of the commune, and schools in the commune signed a commitment to jointly implement the "Godmother" program, giai đoạn 2025 - 2030.

Previously, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Huong Tra ward organized the distribution of financial assistance from the relief fund, totaling 860 million VND, to households affected by recent natural disasters.

Specifically, a total of 339 million VND was provided to 42 households whose homes were damaged by the tornado to repair and mitigate the damage. This included: 14-20 million VND for houses with completely destroyed roofs; 7-11 million VND for houses with 60-70% roof damage; and 5 million VND for houses with 50-60% roof damage. Additionally, 521 million VND was allocated to support households with damage to crops and structures, ranging from 1-10 million VND depending on the extent of the damage.

The Farmers' Association of Hiep Duc commune has just launched a "Children Adopted by the Association" model, sponsoring Cao Thi Anh Thu (born in 2010, residing in An Nam village, a 10th-grade student at Hiep Duc High School), who is fatherless and lives with her mother in difficult circumstances. Accordingly, the Farmers' Association of the commune will support Anh Thu with 300,000 VND per month until she reaches 18 years old.
