On the evening of May 23rd, at Thanh Sen Square, the family of the late musician Trinh Cong Son, in collaboration with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the newspapers, radio, and television of Ha Tinh province, organized a music night titled "25 Years Remembering Trinh Cong Son" with the theme "Living in Life - We Need a Kind Heart".
Comrade Phan Thien Dinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; representatives of provincial departments, agencies, and organizations; representatives of the family of the late musician Trinh Cong Son; and a large number of artists, musicians, and music lovers from inside and outside the province attended the event.
Representatives of the family of the late musician Trịnh Công Sơn attended the program. The concert "25 Years Remembering Trinh Cong Son" is part of a series of activities commemorating the 25th anniversary of the death of musician Trinh Cong Son, held in many provinces and cities nationwide. Ha Tinh is the first locality in the North Central region chosen by the late musician's family to host the program. The concert features 25 songs performed by many famous singers such as Duc Tuan, Ha Le, Kyo York, Cece Truong, Tan Son, Viet Thu, Dam Vinh Hung, Le Quyen, Quang Dung, Cam Van, etc., creating a musical space filled with emotions about love for the homeland, reflections on the human condition, and many humanistic messages. The program is structured into three chapters: "Vietnam, My Homeland"; "We Return to Ha Tinh"; and "What Have We Seen Tonight?". In the first chapter, "Vietnam, My Homeland," the audience is immersed in the profound melodies, expressing the yearning for peace in Trinh Cong Son's music. ( In the photo: Singer Duc Tuan opens with the performance of "Today I Hear" ).
Singers Kyo York and Ha Le presented the familiar song "Let the Wind Carry It Away" to the audience. The song "Hue - Saigon - Hanoi " is performed by singers Ha Le, Tan Son, and Viet Thu. In Chapter 2: "Returning to Ha Tinh," Trinh Cong Son's music seems to carry the essence of a spiritual inheritance from his predecessor – the great poet Nguyen Du. From the poetry of Nguyen Tien Dien about the human condition, that humanistic source seems to have found a moving continuation in Trinh Cong Son's music. The songs touch the audience's emotions with notes that share the pain, empathy, and aspirations of humanity. ( In the photo: Saxophonist Tran Manh Tuan performs the songs "Sea of Memories" and "Like a Flying Heron" ). Singer Dam Vinh Hung performed the songs "The Old Man and the Baby", "You Are a Little Rose", and "Diem Xua". The songs "Where Do the Waves Go?", "What Age Is Left for You?", and "Lullaby of Sorrow" are performed by singer Le Quyen.
Chapter 3: "What Have We Seen Tonight?" opens with a unique and generational collaboration between the voices of Cam Van and Cece Truong. The meaningful evening concluded with the song "Nối vòng tay lớn" (Joining Hands in a Great Circle) by composer Trịnh Công Sơn, performed by various musicians and singers. The program left behind melodies that embodied the spirit of Trịnh Công Sơn, and conveyed meaningful philosophies about life to the music-loving audience of Hà Tĩnh.
