From hot meals and cool bottles of water to assistance with transportation and accommodation, young people in the highlands are contributing to helping students feel secure and confident as they overcome this important exam.
Young people contribute.
During the days of the high school entrance exam, the kitchen at La Dêê Ethnic Boarding Junior High School (La Dêê commune) was always bustling with activity, ready to support the candidates.
According to Mr. Zơrâm Hải, Secretary of the Youth Union of La Dêê commune, this year, the La Dêê examination center has 184 candidates from the communes of La Dêê, La Êê, Đắc Pring, and Nam Giang. These are mountainous areas with many difficulties; the distance from the villages to the examination center is quite far, and the roads are mostly steep and winding, making travel for students challenging.

Understanding these difficulties, the Youth Union of the four communes coordinated to implement many practical support activities at the examination site. Among them, the "Youth Meal Program" was maintained throughout the examination days to support the students' living and eating conditions.
From early morning, youth union members were present in the kitchen area to help prepare meals for the exam candidates. These hot, nutritious meals became a meaningful source of encouragement for the students in the mountainous region.

In addition to assisting with cooking, youth union members also participated in cleaning the school area and the temporary accommodation for the exam candidates. The youth unions of the four communes prepared extra milk, drinking water, pens, and many other necessary items to provide free support to the students.
“This year’s exam support activities aim to provide good logistical support so that students, especially those from ethnic minority groups, have more favorable conditions when participating in the exam. The program will continue to be implemented in the upcoming high school graduation exam,” Mr. Hai said.
During the Literature exam on the morning of May 23rd, volunteer youth teams were constantly present at the exam site to guide, encourage, and provide timely support to candidates when needed.
Ríah Thị Trâm, a 9th-grade student at La Êê Ethnic Boarding Junior High School, said: "The support from the youth union members helped me feel more at ease during the exam days."

Heartwarming moments for students in border regions.
In Nam Tra My commune, this year's 10th grade entrance exam is held at two locations: Nam Tra My High School and Nam Tra My Ethnic Boarding Secondary and High School, with approximately 900 candidates from the communes of Nam Tra My, Tra Tap, Tra Linh, Tra Leng, and Tra Van participating.
To support the candidates, the Youth Union of Nam Tra My commune mobilized 60 members to assist at two examination sites. The volunteers provided drinking water, necessary study materials, helped regulate traffic, and ensured cleanliness in the examination areas.

In particular, the volunteers also joined forces with teachers from Tra Mai Secondary School and Tra Don Ethnic Boarding Secondary School to cook about 35 meals for students from remote areas who had to stay at the exam site during lunchtime on May 23rd.
According to Mr. Ho Tu Huynh, Secretary of the Youth Union of Nam Tra My commune, the unit proactively gathers information on candidates from neighboring localities coming to take the exam in order to guide them to suitable places for food and accommodation; contributing to helping them feel at ease entering this important exam.
Not only youth union members, but many schools in mountainous areas also proactively support students throughout the exam period.

According to Mr. Nguyen Khac Diep, Principal of Tra Van Ethnic Boarding Primary and Secondary School, this year the school has 24 students participating in the 10th grade entrance exam.
The exam location in Nam Tra My commune is about 20km from the school, and the roads are difficult to travel on, so the school proactively hired vehicles to transport the students to the exam. At the same time, the school assigned 6 teachers to closely monitor, support with accommodation and meals, and provide encouragement to the students during the exam.

Similarly, Mr. Vo Dang Chin, Principal of Tra Nam Ethnic Boarding Primary and Secondary School, said that the school has 23 students participating in this exam.
To ensure the students could focus on their exams, the school hired transportation to take them to the exam site in Nam Tra My commune; they also surveyed the accommodation options beforehand to ensure favorable conditions for the students.
"The teaching staff will accompany and closely monitor the students throughout the exam period. Taking the exam in an unfamiliar environment, the presence of teachers is a source of motivation that helps the students perform well," Mr. Chin said.
