Candidates excitedly leave the examination room.

At some exam centers in the city center, the atmosphere after the exam was quite relaxed. Radiant faces, smiles, and quick conversations about the exam questions showed that many students had done well on the first subject.

Duong Phan Gia Han, a student from Huynh Ba Chanh Secondary School, who took the exam at Tran Phu High School, said she felt quite confident with her performance.

According to Gia Han, the exam was "relatively good," the content wasn't too difficult but required candidates to read carefully and pay attention to every detail to avoid losing points unnecessarily, especially in the reading comprehension and essay sections.

"I found the exam easy, but if you're not careful, it's very easy to lose points on the smaller parts," Gia Han shared. Having registered for her first choice at Ngu Hanh Son High School, the female student said she will maintain a relaxed mindset for the remaining exams, hoping to achieve her goal.

Sharing the same sentiment, Nguyen Ngoc Khanh Quynh, a student from Skyline School who took the exam at Tran Phu High School, assessed the exam questions as not overly difficult but still sufficient to differentiate and identify students' abilities.

“The questions weren't too difficult, but they were enough to differentiate between students. To do well, you need to read carefully and delve deeply into the issues raised in the questions to fully understand the requirements,” said Khanh Quynh. Having registered Phan Chau Trinh High School as her first choice, Khanh Quynh said she was quite satisfied with the first part of the exam and is preparing herself as best as possible for the remaining subjects.

Notably, Phan Thuc Quyen, a student from Nguyen Trai Secondary School, who took the exam at Phan Chau Trinh High School, was one of the candidates who seemed quite confident with her performance. According to Quyen, this year's exam questions closely followed the review material, had a familiar structure, and provided a reasonable level of differentiation.

"I found the exam not too difficult; anyone who studied well could complete it quite easily. I did well and finished all the sections," Quyen said.

The female student said that the literary analysis section required an analysis of the image of the soldier mentioned at the end of the text, while the social commentary section discussed how young people can confidently assert themselves in life – a relatable topic that allowed students to express their personal thoughts and opinions.

Based on her performance, Thuc Quyen predicts she can get a high score. "I think the best part was the essay writing question, but overall I did well on all the other sections," the student said.

Candidate Thai Thi Yen Nhi (residing in Tam Ky ward) left the exam center at Phan Boi Chau High School (Huong Tra ward) quite early with a confident expression on her face. Yen Nhi said that this year's Literature exam was of moderate difficulty, suitable for the abilities of most candidates.

Specifically, in question 2 (4 points) of the essay section, the question asked what young people need to do to confidently assert themselves in life. For this question, I applied my learned knowledge and also related it to real-life perspectives to develop my essay; this included analyzing solutions and addressing some opposing viewpoints to clarify the issue.

Similarly, candidate Nguyen Thi Ha Vi (residing in Chien Dan commune), who took the exam at Phan Boi Chau High School (Huong Tra ward), also expressed satisfaction after completing the test.

According to Ha Vi, the essay topic closely followed the content she had reviewed, had a familiar structure, and fit perfectly within the 120-minute time limit. Doing well in Literature also gave her more confidence and a relaxed mindset to approach the next exams with the determination to achieve high results.

The exam questions are familiar and suitable for students.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hoa, a Literature teacher at Tran Phu High School, commented that this year's Literature exam was considered relatable and suitable for students in the newly established city of Da Nang , which has diverse learning conditions and regional backgrounds.

The reading comprehension section uses a short story with content and storytelling techniques that are relatable to students' age group, while also conveying profound and meaningful messages. The questions are well-structured, ensuring that they test general knowledge accessible to most students, while also offering a certain degree of differentiation, requiring students to have literary appreciation skills and a rich vocabulary to answer effectively.

The essay writing section is also concisely designed, focusing on the requirement to analyze the character of the former soldier. This type of question is not too difficult because the excerpt provides typical characteristics of the character, creating a basis for students to follow in their analysis. However, to achieve a high score, students need to know how to combine content and artistic analysis with the ability to express themselves clearly and fluently.

In the writing section, the topic of self-confidence and self-affirmation in life is quite familiar and relatable to the psychology and experiences of students; it also has a certain connection to the content of the reading comprehension section. This is an open-ended question, allowing students to express their thoughts and personal opinions. With a reasonable structure and appropriate difficulty level, it is predicted that the average score for Literature this year will be slightly higher than last year.

Ms. Nguyen Ho Thanh Thuy, a Literature teacher at Tay Son Secondary School, commented that this year's exam closely followed the guidelines of the Department of Education and Training, but to achieve high scores, candidates need carefulness, observation skills, and a certain level of life experience.

According to Ms. Thuy, although the reading comprehension section uses familiar materials and question types, students can still easily lose points if they are overconfident or don't read carefully. The exam requires the ability to read deeply, accurately grasp the details, and understand the requirements of each question.

In the social commentary section, the topic is relevant to students' age group, allowing them to express their personal opinions. However, to make the essay persuasive, candidates need to have real-life experiences and stay focused on the core issue.
