Vietnamese beef noodle soup has just been ranked 9th in the list of 100 best dishes in Southeast Asia by the world- famous culinary website TasteAtlas.
According to TasteAtlas, the appeal of beef pho lies in the elaborate preparation process to create the broth that is considered the "soul" of the dish.
Traditional pho broth is meticulously simmered from marrow bones, muscle meat, and oxtail. To create a deep, unforgettable flavor, the chef must skillfully combine typical dry spices such as cinnamon, star anise, cloves, cardamom, and coriander seeds.
"When enjoying, diners will feel the perfect blend of ingredients. A hot bowl of pho with soft and chewy rice noodles, topped with a variety of meats such as brisket, flank, rare, tendon or beef balls. Dotted on it is the cool green color of green onions, herbs mixed with the flavor of onions, creating a delicious and beautiful whole," TasteAtlas commented./.
