According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on the morning of June 11, the tropical depression in the eastern area of Hoang Sa archipelago strengthened into a storm - storm number 1 in 2025, internationally named Wutip.
The storm is currently moving slowly in the West-Northwest direction at a speed of about 5-10km/h. The circulation of storm Wutip is very wide and deviated to the west, so this morning clouds and rain are covering the provinces of Central Central, South Central, and the Central Highlands. In some provinces, there was moderate to heavy rain last night and early this morning.

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting forecasts that during the day and tonight, the storm will mainly move northwest, towards Hainan Island and its intensity is likely to increase. At 7:00 a.m. on June 12, the center of storm Wutip was over the Hoang Sa archipelago, with a storm intensity of level 9 (75 - 88 km/h), gusting to level 11. Tomorrow day and night, the storm will continue to move in the same direction and continue to have the potential to increase. At 7:00 a.m. on June 13, the center of the storm was over the sea area south of Hainan Island (China), with a storm intensity of level 10 (89 - 102 km/h), gusting to level 13.
Due to the impact of the storm, the northern East Sea (including the waters of the Hoang Sa archipelago), the northern area of the central East Sea will have thunderstorms and strong winds of level 6-7, the area near the storm's eye will have winds of level 8-9, gusts of level 11, waves 3-5m high. In the southern area of the central East Sea, the southern East Sea (including the waters of the Truong Sa archipelago) will have strong southwest winds of level 6, sometimes level 7, gusts of level 8-9, waves 2-4m high, rough seas. Ships operating in the above-mentioned dangerous areas are likely to be affected by thunderstorms, whirlwinds, strong winds, and big waves.
According to the Bac Lieu Hydrometeorological Station, in the Bac Lieu area, it is cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms. During the rain, beware of strong gusts of wind and tornadoes. Southwest wind level 6, gusting to level 7-8. Wave height from 2 - 4 meters, rough sea.
