Hon Do is located in Vinh Hai commune, Khanh Hoa province (formerly Thanh Hai commune, Ninh Hai district, Ninh Thuan province). Located along the coastal road leading to Vinh Hy bay, Hon Do is a destination that retains its wild beauty due to the lack of developed tourism services.
This place has long been known by travel enthusiasts as one of the most beautiful places to watch the sunrise in Khanh Hoa and given the beautiful name "sleeping mermaid".
Recently, Hon Do beach has attracted attention on social networks with the image of waves hitting coral reefs, spraying white foam 2-3m high, creating a unique and beautiful check-in scene, especially at dawn.

Mr. Nguyen Van Trung, a tour guide who specializes in leading tours on request in Khanh Hoa , said that recently, many tourists from far away have come to Hon Do beach to "hunt" for impressive photos with the ocean waves. According to him, the beach here has coral reefs near the shore, so if you time the tide right, you can see the waves crashing on the coral reefs and then flying into the air.
"To capture this image, visitors need to carefully measure the tide, when the water level is not too high or too low, and at the same time there is wind at sea to create waves. At Hon Do beach, the tide appears at different times every day, sometimes you can see waves splashing white foam at dawn, sometimes at noon but also at sunset, there is no fixed time," said Mr. Trung.
Therefore, visitors should contact local people or tour guides for detailed instructions.

However, if you cannot capture images of white foam waves, Hon Do is still a very beautiful beach for tourists to sightsee and check-in.
Hon Do is one of the most impressive fossilized coral reefs in Khanh Hoa. The sea water here is clear and very clean.
From December to March every year, visitors to Hon Do can admire the green moss carpet, which usually appears and grows on high tide days, when the water surface is flooded with rocks, coral reefs and large limestone tables. During this time, coral reefs, rocks and limestone tables are less exposed to direct sunlight due to being blocked by the water surface, so moss grows strongly.
