Khanh Hoa welcomes nearly a million tourists, with revenue of thousands of billions of dong during Tet holiday

According to the Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Tourism , from January 28 to February 2 (from December 29 to the 5th day of the Lunar New Year), the whole province welcomed 940,500 visitors. The increase in the number of visitors and visitors helped Khanh Hoa tourism achieve a total revenue of more than VND 1,356 billion, an increase of more than 141% compared to 2024; in which the total number of international visitors increased by 193% compared to the same period last year.

Ponagar Tower is located on 2.4 Street, Vinh Phuoc Ward (Nha Trang City), was ranked as a national monument in 1979. According to the remaining documents, Ponagar Tower was built by the Cham people from the 8th to the 13th century, on Cu Lao Hill to worship Goddess Ponagar as Mother of the Country, so the common name is Ponagar Tower.

Ponagar Tower relic site is an architectural complex consisting of a gate tower, Mandapa and a temple tower area. However, due to historical fluctuations, the relic site now has 5 remaining architectural works on two levels: Mandapa and the temple tower area. For many years, Ponagar Tower relic site has been a famous tourist destination in Nha Trang, as well as a place to practice the worship of Mother of the Land with the worship of Thien YA Na Thanh Mau of the Vietnamese people.

With unique construction techniques, over time, Ponagar Tower exudes an ancient scene in every frame, making tourists love it.

During the Lunar New Year 2025, the Provincial Monument Conservation Center organized many events to add to the main tour program. Among them, the Ball Dance performance ceremony attracted a lot of attention from domestic and foreign tourists, who watched the artists perform attentively.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Hang, Head of the Management Board of the special relic of Thap Ba, the ball dance is a traditional cultural feature of the people of Khanh Hoa. The dances and offerings to the Mother Goddess are to express the children's respect and gratitude to the Mother Goddess. The dance to offer the Mother Goddess and celebrate the Mother Goddess in the first days of the year brings joy and freshness to tourists as well as the people. The cultural belief in worshiping the Mother Goddess is a typical cultural feature. The Provincial Conservation Center hopes that visitors coming here will not only enjoy the spring and celebrate Tet, but also enjoy the typical cultural values of the people of Khanh Hoa.
