Bac Lieu when you come you feel love, when you are far away you feel missed

Without the majestic natural scenery bestowed by many places, the land of Bac Lieu with its “specialties” of hospitality, affection, and unique cultural features has gently planted special feelings in the hearts of visitors. In the feelings of friends from far away, the homeland of the “Da Co Hoai Lang” is a place where when you come, you will feel love, and when you are away, you will feel missed.

As a tourist from Da Nang who first set foot in Bac Lieu , Ms. Tieu Yen felt like she was returning home. Because the destinations in Bac Lieu are all familiar, from the anecdotes about the Prince of Bac Lieu to the vọng cổ songs, the ups and downs, and the soulful melodies of the Southern folk music. As soon as she entered the Prince of Bac Lieu's house, the beauty of the wooden windows, the tiled floor, the ancient ceiling fan, the exhibition area... all evoked in her a once glorious living space. She was delighted with the vivid anecdotes of "burning money to cook eggs to show off her wealth", especially admiring the actions of the Prince of Bac Lieu tearing up the debt papers of the tenant farmers, distributing rice and money to the poor.

For a female tourist from the city on the Han River, the most calming moment was probably when she leisurely walked around the grounds of the Southern Folk Music and Musician Cao Van Lau Memorial Site, where the melody of the song “Da Co Hoai Lang” resounded with a soulful, nostalgic sound. As a Central Vietnamese, she did not grow up with the sound of the đàn kim, but when she heard the vọng cổ song in Bac Lieu, she suddenly understood why the people of the West loved that song so much. It was simple, heartfelt and full of love, just like the people living in this land.

When asked what impressed her most during her trip to Bac Lieu, Ms. Yen said it was the Hoa Binh 1 wind power field in Vinh Hau A commune (Hoa Binh district). She said that this is not only a beautiful check-in spot with giant turbines rising up in the middle of the sea, but also a symbol of a Bac Lieu with a strong desire to rise.

Ms. Yen confided: “The tourist destination shows that Bac Lieu, in addition to preserving old cultural values, is also strong and a pioneer in green transformation and sustainable development. I thought I just came here to visit, but it turned out to receive much more than that. It is a land with cultural depth, hospitality and dreams that are being nurtured with clean energy. For me, Bac Lieu is not only a destination, but a place to remember, to return to in the near future.”

Not only tourists but also travel agencies when they come to survey and research products to open tours also have many beautiful impressions of Bac Lieu. The fragrant scent of longan in the ripe fruit season, salt grains with a salty taste of alluvium but sweet aftertaste, or delicious pancakes, spicy beef noodle soup with rich flavor... of Bac Lieu have made many visitors from far away sob every time they suddenly remember.

Then, Bac Lieu will merge with Ca Mau to create a new future. The name Bac Lieu province, although no longer on the provincial administrative map, but I believe that the land and people of Bac Lieu will remain forever in the hearts of friends.
