Ho Chi Minh City urges renovation of old apartment buildings, clearly assigns responsibilities to each unit

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction requested relevant departments, branches and localities to urgently remove obstacles and speed up the renovation of old apartment buildings.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction has sent a document to relevant departments, branches and People's Committees of wards, requesting urgent implementation of tasks in renovating old apartment buildings.

Accordingly, the People's Committees of wards with apartment buildings built before 1994 need to promptly establish and approve compensation and resettlement plans; issue relocation decisions, including enforcement in cases of non-compliance.

In addition, wards need to determine the coefficient K applicable to each location and area with apartment buildings subject to renovation, and at the same time establish and approve plans to renovate and rebuild apartment buildings for each specific project.

For each project, the Department of Construction clearly states the responsibilities of the units.

Specifically, the People's Committee of Saigon Ward needs to urgently complete land allocation procedures for the 23 Ly Tu Trong apartment project.

The People's Committee of Xom Chieu Ward was assigned the task of locally adjusting the 1/500 planning, organizing an apartment building conference and approving the compensation plan at the 6Bis Nguyen Tat Thanh project.

Regarding the 1198 Tan Hoa Dong project (Phu Lam ward), the Department of Finance was asked to review local recommendations related to the investment policy for building a kindergarten.

At apartment building 100 Co Giang (Cau Ong Lanh ward), the Department of Agriculture and Environment needs to soon determine land use fee obligations.

For Nguyen Kim apartment building (lots K, L, M, N, O) area A, Dien Hong ward People's Committee needs to take the lead in coordinating with relevant units to systematize all problems.

Apartment building 350 Hoang Van Thu (Tan Son Nhat ward) was required to adjust the zoning plan and approve the additional compensation plan, while project lot E 518 Vo Van Kiet (Cau Ong Lanh ward) needs to continue implementing the next procedures.

Particularly at the Tan Phuoc apartment project (Minh Phung ward), Tan Phuoc Real Estate Joint Stock Company must send a document to the Department of Construction regarding problems in the management and operation of resettlement apartments.

At apartment building 251 Hoang Van Thu (Tan Son Hoa ward), the ward People's Committee needs to preside over working with Tan Binh Construction Investment Joint Stock Company and related agencies and units to review all problems of the project.
