Thereby, promptly detecting and handling violations, contributing to raising people's awareness of law compliance and maintaining a safe and friendly tourism environment for the community and tourists.

On the evening of September 20, while patrolling the beach area of An Hai ward, the patrol team of the ward Military Command discovered a DJI flycam flying device operating illegally. This is an area with a large concentration of residents and tourists.
Upon discovery, the patrol force quickly deployed professional measures, using UAV suppression guns to disrupt the signal, forcing the device to land safely.
Upon verification, the vehicle owner was a foreign tourist who had not completed registration procedures and could not present a driver's license. The authorities drew up a report and requested a commitment to stop the violation and comply with Vietnamese law.

Previously, on the evening of September 12, at the east bank of Dragon Bridge, the patrol team also discovered a DJI Mavic 2 Zoom flycam flying without permission. Immediately, the militia force controlled it with specialized equipment, brought the flycam down and towed the flying vehicle back to headquarters.
The vehicle owner could not present the required license, so a ticket was drawn up, the equipment was temporarily seized and handed over to the authorities for handling.
According to statistics, from the beginning of 2025 until now, the An Hai Ward Patrol Team has discovered and handled about 20 cases of illegal flycam operations, many of which occurred in the Dragon Bridge area, Love Bridge, Son Tra Night Market and crowded tourist beaches.
In reality, most violations stem from ignorance; many vehicle owners do not fully understand the law and therefore do not register. In addition, there are still cases where, despite being granted a flight permit, they are subjective and do not notify local authorities as required.
Regularly using flycam for work, Mr. Tran Viet Dat (living in Hoa Xuan ward) said that flycam is a convenient device but also very sensitive. If not managed well, it can be dangerous for others or be exploited for bad purposes.
Mr. Dat recommends that vehicle owners proactively register with the authorities to comply with legal regulations, facilitate work and avoid affecting people around.

According to Mr. Ngo Xuan Hoang, Commander of the Military Command of An Hai Ward, the ward is a key area after the administrative merger of 3 wards: An Hai Nam, An Hai Bac and Phuoc My.
This is a place with beautiful beaches, many large hotels, resorts and famous destinations such as Dragon Bridge, Love Bridge, Son Tra Night Market... so the use of flycam to film scenes from above is very common, especially on weekends.
“The number of tourists coming to Da Nang in general and An Hai ward in particular is very large, especially in the Dragon Bridge area, where fire and water shows are often held on weekends and the beach area. If just one uncontrolled flying device falls into the crowd and causes an accident, it will have a huge impact,” Mr. Hoang shared.
Mr. Hoang added that in addition to the weekday hours, the Ward Military Command also periodically conducts patrols every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening to inspect, promptly detect and handle violations.

For cases that have been licensed by the Department of Operations (Ministry of National Defense), completed registration procedures with the City Military Command but did not notify the locality, the Ward Military Command will coordinate with the functional forces to inspect and require the owner of the flying vehicle to comply with the regulations. For unlicensed flying vehicles, the force will use specialized equipment to suppress, force landing and strictly handle according to regulations.
The An Hai Ward Military Command said it will continue to promote public awareness of regulations on the use of drones; and publicize a hotline so that people can promptly report cases of illegal flying.
At the same time, closely coordinate with the City Military Command, police and related forces to strengthen control and strictly handle violations, contributing to deterrence and raising awareness of law compliance.
The patrol and control of flycams not only ensures security and safety in the area, but also shows the image of a professional, friendly and close-knit militia force. This is also one of the important solutions for Da Nang to continue affirming its position as a "civilized - modern - friendly" city in the eyes of domestic and international tourists.
