Lam Dong strengthens fire prevention cooperation with Gangwon Academy (Korea)

In order to strengthen international cooperation, promote learning exchanges and share experiences in fire prevention and fighting and rescue (PCCC&CNCH), from October 28-31, a delegation of the Gangwon Fire Academy (Korea) led by Mr. Kim Myoung-Jung, Principal of the Academy, visited and worked in Lam Dong province.

Receiving the delegation, on the side of the Lam Dong Provincial Police were: Colonel Nguyen Tuong Vu, Deputy Director of the Lam Dong Provincial Police; leaders of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of the Lam Dong Provincial Police, and representatives of professional units under the Provincial Police.

At the meeting, on behalf of the Lam Dong Provincial Police Department's Board of Directors, Colonel Nguyen Tuong Vu, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police Department, expressed his pleasure and warmly welcomed the delegation from Gangwon Firefighting Training School to visit and work in Lam Dong province. This was not only a meeting to exchange valuable experiences in fire prevention and rescue work, but also a manifestation of the good friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and South Korea.

On behalf of the Korean delegation, Mr. Kim Myoung-Jung, Principal of Gangwon Fire Academy, expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome from the Lam Dong Provincial Police.

Accordingly, the Gangwon Fire Academy is one of the most modern and advanced fire fighting and rescue training facilities in South Korea, offering practical fire fighting training; rope rescue; escape skills training; on-site rescue and assistance training; and training in the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) in fire fighting...

These are practical contents, suitable to the practical requirements and development trends of modern fire prevention and rescue work, especially in the context of Lam Dong province with its many unique features such as vast natural terrain and numerous facilities and industrial zones with high fire and explosion risks.

Therefore, these are valuable and highly applicable contents that the Lam Dong Provincial Police are very interested in in order to improve the quality and effectiveness of fire prevention and rescue work in the locality.

As part of the program, the delegation from the Gangwon Fire Academy of South Korea visited the production, business operations, and fire safety and rescue work at Da Lat Textile Company Limited (Xuan Truong Ward - Da Lat, Lam Dong Province) and toured the headquarters of the Fire and Rescue Team of Area 5 (Phu Thuy Ward, Lam Dong Province).
