In economic development, Suoi Trai commune has successfully implemented the restructuring of crop and livestock production. Specifically, the commune has promoted the application of science and technology in intensive farming to increase crop yields. Simultaneously, the livestock sector has also been prioritized for development on an appropriate scale, linked to the selection and breeding of livestock and investment in farm models.
To support the people, Suoi Trai commune proactively coordinates with specialized agencies to provide high-yield crop varieties; organizes training courses and workshops to disseminate cultivation techniques for new varieties such as sugarcane and cassava, along with techniques for raising eels, goats, and chickens... helping people access scientific advancements, contributing to increased productivity, and gradually raising the income of the people in the commune.
Implementing the National Target Program for building new rural areas, Suoi Trai commune has leveraged the strength of the entire political system, actively taking the lead in disseminating information and mobilizing the people to work together to build new rural areas. Thanks to this decisive involvement, the infrastructure in the commune has received focused investment and construction, gradually improving to ensure it adequately serves the living and production needs of the people.
Poverty reduction efforts have also received attention and been implemented through policies providing direct support to the poor and near-poor; the annual review of poor and near-poor households is also ensured according to regulations. Discussing poverty reduction efforts, Mr. So Da, Chairman of the People's Committee of Suoi Trai commune, acknowledged: "The percentage of poor and near-poor households in the commune is still quite high. Therefore, we have intensified the implementation of important national target programs."
Accordingly, the commune has focused resources from the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction giai đoạn 2021-2025 and the National Target Program for Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas. Specifically, the commune has invested in the construction of essential infrastructure such as roads, schools, and health stations; implemented policies to support poor and near-poor households, provided preferential credit loans, and implemented projects to support production development and replicate sustainable poverty reduction models. Attention has also been paid to healthcare, educational support, and the elimination of temporary housing.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of So Da commune affirmed: "Thanks to these efforts, the socio-economic life of the local people has gradually improved. Many poor and near-poor households have had the opportunity to successfully rise out of poverty."
Ea Tul commune has 4,901 households with 22,900 people belonging to ethnic minorities, accounting for 66.53% of the total population of the commune. The implementation of the National Target Program for socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, Phase I (from 2021 to 2025), has been decisively directed by local leaders, "opening up" many opportunities to help people develop production.

Benefiting from the program, the commune is promoting the application of science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation, alongside administrative reform. A highlight of this work is the effective operation of the Community Digital Technology Team, which not only supports people in resolving administrative procedures on the Public Service Portal but also goes to villages to guide the installation of applications and electronic identity verification accounts (VNeID) at levels 1 and 2. Thanks to this close support, people, especially ethnic minorities, have become more accessible and proficient in digital technology.
Mr. Y Nin Êban, a resident of Ea Tul commune, shared: "Previously, I wasn't tech-savvy, so it was difficult to complete administrative procedures. But with the help and guidance of commune officials, I was able to register and complete the necessary documents and procedures on the Public Service Portal myself and receive the results much sooner than before."

Besides focusing on stabilizing people's lives and raising awareness, Ea Tul commune also pays special attention to maintaining, preserving, and promoting the fine traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities in a way that is linked to tourism development.
Currently, the commune preserves many valuable artifacts, including: 7 water wells, 2 sets of bronze gongs, and several other traditional musical instruments. The commune regularly organizes activities to teach folk music and literature in order to preserve these values for the younger generation.
According to Vo Duy Hoa, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ea Tul commune: "These efforts are not only about preservation but also about creating a foundation for culture to become a resource for promoting tourism and sustainable development in the locality."
