This work aims not only to ensure the rights of the people, but also to lay the foundation for implementing poverty reduction policies for the following year that are closely aligned with real-life situations.

According to Nguyen Duc Thang, Head of the Rural Development Sub-Department (Dak Lak Provincial Department of Agriculture and Environment), since the beginning of 2025, the Dak Lak Provincial Department of Agriculture and Environment has advised the Provincial People's Committee to issue many important documents and implement the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction, closely following the directives of the Central Government.

Following the merger and the implementation of a two-tiered local government model, the province issued a plan for implementing the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction in 2025 and a decision on consolidating the Steering Committee for reviewing poor and near-poor households in the 2022-2025 period. Simultaneously, the province organized the review of poor and near-poor households in 2025 according to the plan of the Provincial People's Committee. To date, this work has been largely completed.

As a result of the 2025 review of poor and near-poor households, many people in Tam Giang commune have escaped poverty sustainably.

According to Mr. Ngo Thanh Hiep, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of O Loan commune, O Loan commune has basically completed the review of poor and near-poor households. The preliminary results of the review show that the remaining poor households in 2025 are 207 out of 12,074 households, reaching a rate of 1.72%; and the remaining near-poor households are 596 out of 12,074 households, reaching a rate of 4.94%.

In Tam Giang commune, the process of reviewing poor and near-poor households was carried out in a way that closely reflected the local situation, adhering to the correct procedures, and ensuring transparency and objectivity. The review process was well-received by the people. Mr. Y Guin Mlô, from Trăp hamlet, despite being busy with work, still made time to return home when the local authorities notified him to come to his house for the survey and review of poor and near-poor households. Mr. Y Guin shared: "My family arranged our time to be at home and are ready to provide truthful information so that the information gathering process can achieve accurate results."

Sharing information about the review of poor and near-poor households in the commune, Chairman of Tam Giang Commune People's Committee Le Ky Su said that 34 villages and hamlets in the commune have completed the review of poor and near-poor households. The estimated number of multidimensional poor households in the commune by the end of 2025 is 1,165 households, including 705 poor households and 460 near-poor households. The goal and also the main task of the commune in the coming years is to develop the economy , continue to effectively address social welfare issues, improve the material and spiritual lives of the people; implement projects to replicate poverty reduction models, and support livelihoods for people, especially in areas with a large ethnic minority population.

According to projections, the poverty rate in Dak Lak province will decrease by 3% or more by the end of 2025, to approximately 2.08%; specifically, the poverty rate among ethnic minorities will decrease by 4% or more, to approximately 10.06%.

According to Mr. Nguyen Duc Thang, the thorough review and collection of accurate, democratic, and impartial information to identify poor and near-poor households is a condition for ensuring that all support resources reach the people promptly and fully. Through this process, localities can understand the situation and difficulties of each specific case, and develop appropriate support solutions so that people can access and benefit from support policies. This is also the motivation for each person to strive to escape poverty sustainably, without relying solely on government assistance.
