Quang Son commune leaders gave gifts to policy families on War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27).

After years of living in a dilapidated house, Mrs. Pham Thi Ty, 70 years old, a policy family (child of a martyr), living alone in Trung Son hamlet, was very happy to have moved into a new house.

She said: I am very grateful to the Party, the State, the local government and the units and businesses that have helped with cash and materials to complete this new house. This is the motivation for me to continue to strive, promote the revolutionary family tradition, and set an example in implementing the Party's policies and the State's laws...

Mr. Luu Viet Ha, Head of the Quang Son Commune Culture and Social Affairs Department, said: The cooperation of the locality, units and businesses has helped Mrs. Ty's house to be quickly constructed and put into use. In particular, the People's Security College and the Commune Fatherland Front Committee supported the family with 60 million VND in cash; La Hien Cement Factory supported the family with 2 tons of cement.

Mobilizing the entire political system, people, and businesses in the area to join hands to take care of the lives of people with meritorious services and policy families is a regular activity of Quang Son commune. Mr. Nguyen Trong Hieu, Secretary of the Quang Son Commune Party Committee, informed: After the merger, the commune has 9/16 extremely difficult hamlets, over 200 poor households and more than 100 near-poor households. However, the commune still has many practical activities for policy families with many difficulties. Each cadre and party member is a pioneer in contributing and calling on businesses, units, and philanthropists to support money and goods to help people. We hope that these meaningful activities will be widely spread.

On the occasion of the annual War Invalids and Martyrs Day on July 27, Quang Son commune always has activities to show gratitude and remember those who fell for national independence.

Carrying out the work of gratitude and repayment with a positive spirit, in addition to housing support, the locality always cares for people on holidays and Tet. Particularly on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, with the efforts of sectors, unions and from the mobilization of businesses and organizations, Quang Son commune organized visits and gave gifts to people with meritorious services and policy families with a total value of over 480 million VND.

In addition, the commune always strictly manages and promptly pays preferential allowances to meritorious people according to regulations. In particular, it does a good job of paying money to policy families and meritorious people to ensure the right beneficiaries. On the occasion of July 27 alone, 62 meritorious people and policy families in the commune received meaningful gifts from the State, the province and the commune.
