At Binh Hoa ward, the delegation visited Mr. Le Ngoc Cu (born in 1954), a 1/4 class disabled veteran. Comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc kindly talked and asked about the health and daily life of Mr. Cu and his family.
Comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc shared that Ho Chi Minh City always pays attention to implementing policies for people with revolutionary contributions. This is both a political responsibility and a deep sentiment and gratitude towards the previous generation.
On behalf of the City leaders, he wished Mr. Cu and his family good health; hoped that he would continue to set an example in the family, raising his children and grandchildren to become good citizens. He also expressed his hope that, as long as his health permits, Mr. Cu would continue to participate and contribute to local activities.

Sharing with the delegation, Mr. Cu expressed his honor and pride in being a citizen of the City named after Uncle Ho and appreciated the affection and care of the City leaders for him and his family.
According to Mr. Cu, since his time in the army, he has always remembered Uncle Ho's teachings: "Nothing is difficult, only fear of not being steadfast..." Returning to normal life, he reminded himself to live up to his comrades, to be a disabled but not useless war invalid, to strive to overcome all difficulties and actively participate in the work of the local Veterans Association.
The delegation also visited Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Dinh (residing in Lai Thieu ward). Mother Dinh is 100 years old this year, and her husband and son are martyrs.

Comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc kindly inquired about the health of Mother Dinh and her family; at the same time expressed deep gratitude for the sacrifices of Mother, her husband and children for the revolutionary cause.
He wished Mother good health and happiness with her children and grandchildren; and at the same time requested that local Party committees, authorities and Fatherland Fronts continue to pay close attention, regularly visit and ensure the best care conditions for the Vietnamese Heroic Mother.

In the afternoon of the same day, the delegation visited Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Ruc (residing in Phu Loi ward). Mother Ruc was born in 1923, and her husband and children were martyrs. Comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc expressed his joy that Mother was still lucid, wishing Mother always good health, a happy and healthy life with her children and grandchildren...
