Construction of four schools in border communes will begin on November 2.

04 schools will start construction on this occasion, including Primary and Secondary Boarding Schools, in the communes of A Mu Sung, Y Ty, Muong Khuong and Pha Long.

The survey of conditions for building border boarding schools was carried out carefully.

The construction period is 9 months, striving to be completed before August 30, 2026. According to the plan, the remaining schools in the communes of Ban Lau, Trinh Tuong, Si Ma Cai, Ban Vuoc and Ban Phiet will start construction in 2026 and be completed in 2027.

School buildings in border communes are invested synchronously with: classroom blocks, dormitories, multi-purpose buildings, libraries, kitchens, technical infrastructure... with a scale of 28 to 36 classrooms, serving from 980 to more than 1,200 students per school; meeting level 2 facility standards as prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training . The total investment for each school ranges from 230 to 299 billion VND.

Building boarding schools will contribute to improving the quality of education in border areas.

This is an important step in implementing the policy of the Politburo and the Government on developing education in border areas, contributing to improving people's knowledge, ensuring social security and consolidating national defense and security in border communes in Lao Cai province.

The implementation of border school construction is a major campaign of the Government, focusing on completing 100 boarding and semi-boarding schools for students and teachers in border communes in the period of 2025 - 2026, with the goal of ensuring educational equity and developing human resources in border areas. The project includes building or renovating 100 schools in 2025, then expanding to all 248 border schools, mobilizing resources from the State, localities and socialization.
