Within 30 minutes, the water level rose about 10-15cm, surpassing the flood mark of yesterday (October 28). Many people in low-lying areas continued to move to higher places because the flood rose faster and higher than in recent years.

Ms. Nguyen Hong Nga (residing in block 2A, Dien Ban Dong ward) said that after the water receded, at about 6:00 p.m. the same day, the water started to rise again and quite quickly.
“Within two hours, the flood water rose more than 0.5m. Because I have two small children, my family contacted the neighborhood militia to row a boat to pick us up and take us to a higher area to avoid the flood,” Ms. Nga added.
Present at the flood response and food supply point of the People's Committee of Block 2A, the reporter noted that many families also moved adults, children and their belongings to higher ground. The militia and the People's Committee of Block 2A said that from the time the floodwaters rose in the evening until late October 29, the force transported dozens of people from low-lying areas to safety.
