Exciting 1st Xuan Dinh Ward Sports Festival

HNP - On October 29, the opening ceremony of the 1st Xuan Dinh Ward Sports Festival in 2025 took place successfully.

This is a special event, a great festival for the ward's cadres and people, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity, responding to the movement "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho", at the same time welcoming the success of the 18th Hanoi Party Congress and looking forward to the 11th Capital Sports Congress in 2025.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Ward People's Committee Nguyen Hung Quoc emphasized that in recent years, under the direction of the Party Committee and local government, the mass sports movement of the ward has grown stronger and stronger, becoming one of the key activities contributing to improving health and building cultural and spiritual life for the people.

The 1st Xuan Dinh Ward Sports Congress is an opportunity to summarize and evaluate the development of the sports movement among the people, armed forces, cadres, civil servants, public employees and students in the area.

The organizing committee awarded souvenir flags to the competing teams.

This year's congress has 8 events with 100 events, gathering more than 600 athletes to compete. The competition results will be an important basis for selecting excellent athletes, representing Xuan Dinh ward to participate in the 11th Capital Sports Congress, striving to achieve high results, contributing to affirming the position and local sports movement.

The opening ceremony began with a drum performance, lion dance, flags and exciting folk dance and martial arts performances, creating an exciting and proud atmosphere.

The organizers encouraged the young athletes.

Right after the ceremony, the athletes entered the first competitions such as: Chess, Chinese chess, tug of war, attracting a large number of enthusiastic supporters, contributing to spreading the spirit of sportsmanship and solidarity in the community.

The leaders of Xuan Dinh ward then awarded the first, second and third prizes in the physical exercise competition, recognizing the teams' competitive spirit.
