Using drones to rescue people isolated by floods

Information from the Command Center for Defense of Region 3 - Tra My indicates that the prolonged rain from the evening of October 28 to the morning of October 29 caused the Truong River and Nuoc Oa River sections flowing through Tra My and Tra Tan communes ( Da Nang City) to rise, cutting off traffic. Numerous residential areas in Tra My and Tra Tan communes were isolated.

Upon receiving the report, Lieutenant Colonel Pham Van Hau, Political Commissar of the Defense Command of Area 3 - Tra My, immediately mobilized forces to the scene, assessed the situation, and transported more than 30 boxes of instant noodles, dried food, and drinking water to support the isolated households.

Facing the raging floodwaters, carrying bushes and debris from the mountains, using aluminum boats or motorboats poses a safety risk. In light of this situation, Lieutenant Colonel Pham Van Hau proposed that the local authorities request private businesses to provide drones to deliver relief supplies to the people.
