From providing healthcare for the vulnerable and supporting the poor to launching voluntary blood donation campaigns, the Association contributes to building a compassionate and benevolent community.

A SMALL GIFT - A GREAT DEED
On a quarterly basis, approximately 30 poor people, elderly people, and lonely senior citizens in the ward receive free medical examinations, traditional medicine, and practical gifts.
After the examination, 88-year-old Mrs. Pham Thi Huong emotionally shared: "I have suffered from many illnesses for many years, but due to difficult family circumstances, I couldn't afford treatment. Thanks to the concern of all levels of government, relevant agencies, and sponsors, I received free medical examination and medication. I am very grateful!"
Sharing the same joy as Mrs. Huong, Mrs. Tran Kim Thoa and Mr. Nguyen Van Tam, both 70 years old, also expressed: "Due to old age, high blood pressure and high blood sugar have caused our health to decline. Thanks to the Red Cross Society's regular coordination in organizing medical check-ups and providing medication, we feel more at ease and live happily and healthily in our old age."

Each year, hundreds of elderly people in the area receive support from the My Phong Ward Red Cross Society through various forms such as regular allowances, free medical examinations and medicine distribution, wheelchair donations, and essential goods support, helping them alleviate difficulties in their lives.
According to Le Van Tinh, Chairman of the My Phong Ward Red Cross Society, caring for the elderly is always an important goal of the Society. "We want to create conditions for the elderly to 'live happily, healthily, and usefully.' Besides providing support, the Society also provides wheelchairs, rice, instant noodles, etc., to elderly people in special circumstances."

EFFECTIVELY MOBILIZING SOCIAL RESOURCES
Thanks to skillful mobilization and well-directed activities, the My Phong Ward Red Cross Society has received support from many organizations and individuals. Traditional medicine practitioner Le Vuong Quoc Hung, owner of the Tran Nam Thai Y Vien Traditional Medicine Clinic, shared: "We have a team of highly qualified practitioners and compassionate hearts. For many years, the clinic has collaborated with the ward's Red Cross Society to provide free medical examinations, treatment, and medication to the elderly and impoverished patients; we also advise on chronic diseases and guide appropriate exercises. In addition, the clinic provides free consultations, examinations, and herbal tea to cancer patients."
Alongside healthcare, the voluntary blood donation movement is considered one of the key humanitarian activities. Each donated unit of blood is a precious chance of survival for patients in urgent need of blood transfusions, demonstrating the humane spirit of "every drop of blood given saves a life."

Furthermore, the Association has expanded its outreach to promote humanitarian forms of donation such as tissue donation, organ donation, and hair donation. Although still relatively new, thanks to its approachable communication methods, many people have understood and are willing to participate, contributing to spreading the message that "giving is forever."
Through the collective efforts of the community, the Association has mobilized numerous resources to support the elderly, impoverished households, victims of Agent Orange, and people with disabilities. Especially during the Lunar New Year, hundreds of gifts were delivered directly to needy families, bringing joy and warmth during the end of the year.
The campaign "Each organization and individual is linked to a humanitarian cause" continues to be effectively maintained, helping to connect philanthropists with those in special circumstances, creating a long-term and sustainable source of support.
In addition, the My Phong Ward Red Cross Society actively participates in "Gratitude and Repayment" movements, supporting people in Central Vietnam affected by natural disasters, storms, and floods, contributing to spreading humanitarian values in the area.

According to Le Van Tinh, Chairman of the My Phong Ward Red Cross Society, in the coming time, the Society will continue to promote the socialization of humanitarian activities; innovate the content and methods of fundraising to attract more resources; and at the same time, promote its role as a bridge in charitable work.
"Every officer and volunteer is a bridge connecting love," Mr. Tinh emphasized.
Through practical and meaningful activities, the My Phong Ward Red Cross Society is increasingly affirming its role as a reliable support for the people, contributing to the effective implementation of social welfare work in the locality.
