The first Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of An Giang province, for the term 2025-2030, has appointed Mr. Phan Duy Bang as Secretary.

The Presidium presides over the Congress.

On the morning of December 14th, the official session of the First Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of An Giang province, for the term 2025-2030, took place in Rach Gia ward, with the participation of 289 delegates representing the young generation throughout the province.

In its first working session, the Congress appointed the Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of An Giang province for the first term, 2025-2030, consisting of 41 members; and the Standing Committee consisting of 13 members.

Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Huong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, and Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Giang Province, presented a banner from the Provincial Party Committee to the Congress.

Mr. Phan Duy Bang, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Giang province and Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of An Giang province, has been appointed to the position of Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of An Giang province for the first term, 2025-2030.

The Congress also appointed 16 official delegates to attend the 13th National Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, term 2026-2031.

Speaking at the Congress, Nguyen Minh Triet, Permanent Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union and President of the Vietnam Student Association, emphasized: An Giang is a land rich in patriotic and revolutionary traditions, a place that bears witness to the values ​​forged through generations of Kinh, Khmer, Cham, and Hoa people who have been united and overcome difficulties together.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet, Permanent Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union and President of the Vietnam Student Association, delivered a speech.

That tradition creates a very unique identity for An Giang, characterized by its compassion, resilience, and humanity. The Standing Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union suggested that the Youth Union's propaganda and education work should focus on preserving, nurturing, and revitalizing those historical and cultural values, so that each youth union member clearly understands their responsibility and pride in their homeland; and that there should be more innovation in implementation methods, making them flexible, modern, and deeply ingrained in each youth group, appropriate to the local area.

Delegates attending the Congress

The important thing is not just "communication," but rather fostering a multi-faceted approach, enhancing interaction with young people, and empowering them to become the main actors in education. We must be close to the people, close to the grassroots, and close to the digital space; we must dare to innovate, dare to take responsibility, and dare to lead. When officials are decisive, young people will be enthusiastic; when education is strong, organizations will be strong; and when organizations are strong, the movement will have a truly widespread impact.

The first Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of An Giang province, for the term 2025-2030, identified five key tasks for the new term, including: building a generation of patriotic, courageous, knowledgeable, and responsible young people; pioneering in digital transformation, innovation, and the development of a knowledge-based economy; promoting a leading role in socio-economic development, national defense, and social welfare; caring for, educating, and protecting children and nurturing the future generation of the homeland; and building a truly strong, flexible, modern, and youth-oriented Youth Union organization.
