Hue continues to have heavy rain, authorities and people proactively overcome the consequences of floods

Faced with the complicated weather situation, on the morning of October 29, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Hue City issued an urgent dispatch requesting the entire government system to urgently deploy measures to overcome the consequences and respond to floods.

After floods, a large amount of household waste is pushed into the streets and rivers and needs to be treated soon.

According to the Hue City Hydrometeorological Station, from the morning of October 29 to the morning of October 31, the area continued to have heavy to very heavy rain with total rainfall ranging from 800-1,000mm, in some places exceeding 1,200mm.

The People's Committee of Hue City requires departments, branches, sectors and localities to mobilize all forces according to the "4 on-site" motto, organize environmental sanitation and disinfection immediately after the water recedes; absolutely do not let people suffer from hunger, cold, lack of clean water or lack of medical care; Chairmen of People's Committees of communes and wards take full responsibility if damage occurs due to subjectivity and lack of responsibility.

Regiment 6, City Military Command mobilized hundreds of officers and soldiers to participate in environmental sanitation as soon as the flood receded.

The telegram also requested the Department of Agriculture and Environment and the Department of Industry and Trade to coordinate in regulating irrigation and hydropower reservoirs safely, contributing to reducing downstream floods; the Department of Health to deploy epidemic prevention work, ensuring medicines and medical equipment; the Department of Education and Hue University to urgently repair school facilities, ensuring students return to school soon.

In addition, the Department of Construction, Department of Transport and armed forces were assigned to focus on repairing damaged works and opening key traffic routes; the City Civil Defense Command was assigned to regularly inspect, urge, and synthesize reports before November 6.
