At the Thi Nghe Nursing Home in Gia Dinh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, the Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Nguyen Phuoc Loc, visited and inquired about the health of, encouraged, and listened to the heartfelt sharing and thoughts of veteran artists: Huynh Thanh Tra, Le Trung Can (Mac Can), Tran Thi Hien (Meritorious Artist Dieu Hien), Nguyen Thi Dang (Ngoc Dang), and Nguyen Van Son (Lam Son).
Veteran artists expressed their joy and excitement at the attention shown by the city's leaders and cultural agencies and departments; considering it a great source of spiritual motivation, helping artists live peaceful, happy, and warm lives.

At her home in Thanh My Tay ward, People's Artist Tra Giang was moved to welcome the city's leaders and happily shared many memories related to cinema and painting.
After years dedicated to the art of cinema, achieving a brilliant acting career and leaving behind memorable roles, in her old age, People's Artist Tra Giang chose painting as her hobby, a simple and gentle happiness, yet filled with the colors, emotions, and thoughts she has for life, for people, and for the beautiful scenery of her homeland.

People's Artist Tra Giang emotionally shared: "For the past 50 years, I have always lived and been devoted to my love of art. Although I don't appear in public as much as when I worked in the film industry, I try to paint every day, firstly to create joy for myself and to stay healthy, and secondly to raise funds for charity and community activities through art auctions."
Concluding the cordial conversation, the Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Nguyen Phuoc Loc, wished the talented artist continued happiness, good health, and the strength to create and spread her beautiful and meaningful works of art to everyone.

Composer Pham Minh Tuan (residing in Hiep Binh Chanh ward), at the age of 83, remains very healthy and sharp-minded. Every day, he continues to nurture the many spontaneous emotions he receives from life, composing music and actively participating in campaigns to create new songs. He enthusiastically contributes his thoughts, feelings, and aspirations for the development of the city's culture and arts through each of his cherished musical compositions.
From his youth, composer Pham Minh Tuan was both a soldier and a renowned musician. He composed many songs that resonated with generations of music lovers, such as: "The Unforgettable Song," "The Country," "Crossing the River," "Aspiration," "Footprints Ahead," "Spring from the Oil Wells," "Spring Train," "City of Love and Nostalgia," etc. Besides composing songs, he also wrote music for films, plays, and traditional Vietnamese opera (cai luong). He joined the National Liberation Front of South Vietnam in 1960 and held many important positions in the music and culture sectors.
Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Phuoc Loc acknowledged the proposals and aspirations of the veteran soldier and musician who is deeply committed to the city's cultural and artistic life. He wished the talented musician continued good health, happiness, and positive energy, encouraging him to nurture his passion for composing new songs in this new era, an era of national growth, strength, and prosperity.

On this occasion, the Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Nguyen Phuoc Loc, and his delegation visited director and writer Xuan Phuong at her home. In the cozy living room, she shared a lot of information about her daily life and work. At the age of 96, she continues to work tirelessly, and is especially preparing to complete her memoir , "Calling the Life of Film ."

Later that same day, the Ho Chi Minh City leadership delegation visited poet Le Giang in Thu Dau Mot ward, Ho Chi Minh City.
The visits and gift-giving activities are an opportunity for Ho Chi Minh City to acknowledge and express gratitude for the contributions of artists and writers in general, and especially those who participated in the revolution, received State Awards, Ho Chi Minh Awards, People's Artists, and Meritorious Artists, and have contributed to the development of literature and art in the city over the past 50 years.
The trip also provides an opportunity for today's young generation to express their love, respect, and gratitude to their predecessors—veteran authors, artists, and musicians. It's a chance for veteran artists and the city's younger generation to reflect on traditions and gain a deeper understanding of the positive and valuable contributions of generations of artists to the national literature and art.
