Ho Chi Minh City leaders visit the homes of artists and writers at Thi Nghe Nursing Center

On the morning of October 17, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Phuoc Loc visited and presented gifts to artists such as director and writer Xuan Phuong, actress Tra Giang, musician Pham Minh Tuan, poet Le Giang and artists at Thi Nghe Nursing Center.

Accompanying Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc were Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Dinh Thi Thanh Thuy, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy, and representatives of leaders of departments, branches, and literary and artistic associations of Ho Chi Minh City.

Musician Pham Minh Tuan hopes to have creative campaigns.

On October 18, Ho Chi Minh City also began the days in a series of activities of the Conference summarizing 50 years of Ho Chi Minh City's literature and arts after the country's reunification.

Musician Pham Minh Tuan said that over the past 50 years the city has achieved great achievements in all aspects, including literature and art.

He believes that summarizing and reviewing the achievements of the past 50 years is necessary to have conclusions and long-term strategies for developing literature and art in the new period.

He hopes that the city will have creative campaigns and investments to produce more good, worthy works. The musician hopes that in the next 5 years, Ho Chi Minh City will have novels written in the new era, which will have vitality in the hearts of today's public. Culture and art will have special developments.

"It may be a bit difficult, but if we have a policy and choose investors, there will certainly be outstanding works in many fields" - musician Pham Minh Tuan emphasized and he also hopes that the city will open more field trips for artists during the period when Ho Chi Minh City expands to Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau , so that artists have enough material for their works.

Mr. Phuoc Loc wished musician Pham Minh Tuan good health and hoped that the musician would continue to nurture his emotions, to have more good music in the new era.

Mr. Loc respected the opinions of musician Pham Minh Tuan and directed that after the Conference summarizing 50 years of literature and art in Ho Chi Minh City, the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee should plan to organize for artists to visit key projects of the city such as Phu Tho Circus and Multi-purpose Performance Hall, Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine, three general hospitals at the city's gateway... to have more creative materials.

And there are many practical activities to promote the development of the city's literature and arts in the future.

Older artists still spread positive energy

In addition to musician Pham Minh Tuan, the delegation also visited and gave gifts to director - writer Xuan Phuong, People's Artist Tra Giang, poet Le Giang and 5 artists Ngoc Dang, Dieu Hien, Mac Can, Huynh Thanh Tra, Lam Son at Thi Nghe Nursing Center.

Mr. Phuoc Loc expressed his emotion when many artists, despite their advanced age, still pay close attention to the city's literary and artistic situation. They somehow continue to work in the arts and continue to contribute to the city's culture.

Ms. Xuan Phuong made everyone very happy because even though she is 96 years old, she is very optimistic and talks clearly. She said that she only started her writing career at 93 years old, so no one should be afraid of starting too late.

At this age, she still works hard every day, arranging specific time, when to compose, when to rest. Ms. Phuong is actively completing the new book that is about to be released.

Artist Tra Giang, after leaving the screen, focused on her new passion: painting. Her paintings are very emotional.

Not only satisfying her passion in a new field, artist Tra Giang also uses her paintings to spread positive things, she donates money from selling paintings to charity activities.

Although she no longer acts in films, she regularly participates in cinema-related activities. She continues to make practical contributions to the city's cinema and inspires young people.
