Long Phu commune women received 6 tons of necessities to support people in flood-affected areas.

(CT) - In order to promptly share the difficulties with the people of the Central region who suffered heavy losses due to the recent floods, the Women's Union of Long Phu commune, Can Tho city, launched a campaign to collect necessities to send to people in flooded areas. Up to now, the Union has received 6 tons of necessities, including: 3 tons of rice, 40 boxes of instant noodles, 50 boxes of milk, 100 cartons of mineral water; 2 tons of old clothes, blankets; 100 boxes of necessities (fish sauce, MSG, sugar)...

A gathering point for goods contributed by benefactors.

Ms. Bui Thi My Xuyen, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Long Phu Commune, said that the movement demonstrated the spirit of solidarity and sharing of the people of the commune with the flood victims. All necessities will be packaged and transported by the Union to the affected localities to help people overcome difficulties and soon stabilize their lives.
