Expert Phan Anh Tu believes that U22 Vietnam ended the match following a very old script, which is to wait for the opponent to run out of energy and score the decisive goal in the second half, even if it was only a one-goal difference.

"U22 Vietnam won according to a familiar scenario. In the first half, we often created few breakthrough opportunities. Coach Kim Sang Sik always expected his players to explode in the second half. At that time, the Lao players might lose strength and U22 Vietnam would send new players onto the field.

U22 Laos actively played low in the first half, U22 increased the speed of the game. In particular, Dinh Bac and his teammates focused on attacking on the left wing a lot. We did not have many options to organize in the central area or a true "dealer" to attack.

The reason came from midfielder Nguyen Xuan Bac's early injury and substitution from the 39th minute. U22 Vietnam lacked a skillful midfielder who could control and make good passes.

The only goal conceded by U22 Vietnam also pointed out the negligence of the defense. Set pieces were almost the only risk in the first half of the opposing team. The U22 Vietnam defenders did not intervene, allowing them to hit the crossbar. The players even lost focus on the situation where the ball bounced out.
