Cargo throughput at SSIT port reached a record high.

On December 3rd, representatives of Saigon Port International Container Services Joint Venture Company Limited – SSA (SSIT) announced that, as of the end of October 2025, the throughput at SSIT port had increased by 46% compared to the same period in 2024.

This impressive achievement affirms SSIT port's superior operational capabilities and efficiency in managing its operations amidst the continuing increase in international cargo transportation demand.

Accordingly, in the first 11 months of 2025, the volume of goods handled through SSIT port reached 904,000 TEU (compared to 618,000 TEU in the first 11 months of 2024, an increase of 46%). With the synchronized implementation of innovative solutions, from optimizing berth efficiency and operational processes to boosting marketing activities and attracting new service routes, SSIT port not only improves operational efficiency but also elevates service quality, consolidating its position as one of the leading container ports in the Cai Mep – Thi Vai area.

To maintain and promote sustainable growth, SSIT Port continues to prioritize strategic investment in depth and technological innovation. The port plans to accelerate the application of smart port models and green its operations to meet global environmental standards.

In addition, the port will continue to invest in additional equipment such as STS shore cranes, RTG yard cranes, other handling equipment, and yard expansion… to meet the increasing throughput from shipping line customers.
