On the afternoon of November 13, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City held its first conference for the 2024-2029 term. Comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City attended and directed the conference.

Strengthening personnel before the congress

The conference heard a report on the activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City from July 2025 to October 2025. After more than 4 months, a number of major activities have been implemented and important results have been achieved.

In which, implementing the arrangement and streamlining of front agencies, socio- political organizations and associations assigned tasks; ensuring progress, quality and political requirements.

At the same time, direct and guide the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and commune-level socio-political organizations to successfully organize the congress (term 2025-2030); direct and guide the Vietnam Fatherland Front and commune-level socio-political organizations to deploy campaigns responding to the series of activities "National Unity Day", "National Great Unity Day"...

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City has called for donations to support people in overcoming damage caused by storms and floods; organized working groups to hand out funds, visit and give gifts to support people in storm and flood areas.

At the conference, delegates also participated in discussions and gave opinions on many important contents, including contents related to the documents of the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in Ho Chi Minh City.

The conference also approved the following reports: Organization of the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Ho Chi Minh City, term 2025 - 2030; recognition of member organizations and addition of members to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, term 2024 - 2029.

Accordingly, the conference introduced member organizations and additional members of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City for the 2024-2029 term.

The conference did not present flowers to member organizations and members of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City that were consulted and added, but presented the book "Promoting the tradition of great national unity, building our country to be increasingly rich, civilized and happy" by the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

The Front is where correct policies are turned into actions.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Nguyen Phuoc Loc emphasized that this conference is very important, including the content of preparing to organize the 1st Congress of Vietnam Fatherland Front of Ho Chi Minh City, term 2025 - 2030 (the congress is expected to take place at the end of November 2025).

Sending congratulations to the newly launched member organizations and the newly appointed members of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc emphasized that the personnel restructuring must comply with regulations, demonstrate the spirit of solidarity, representation, and exemplary of the front and is an important preparation step for the 1st Congress of Vietnam Fatherland Front of Ho Chi Minh City.

Regarding comments on the congress documents, political reports and congress-related contents, comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc affirmed that it is necessary to thoroughly grasp the direction of comrade General Secretary To Lam at the 1st Congress of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central mass organizations, term 2025-2030.

Accordingly, the front is the people. The front is the broadest gathering place of the masses… The strength of the front is the strength of the people. The tradition of the front is solidarity.

Along with that, we need to do a good job of gratitude, social security coverage, social protection work; pay attention to vulnerable groups so that all activities, movements and campaigns of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City are aimed at serving the people, leaving no one behind.
