On November 13, General Secretary To Lam received Mr. Li Shulei, Member of the Political Bureau, Secretary of the Secretariat, and Head of the Central Propaganda Department of the Communist Party of China, during his visit to Vietnam and co-chairing the 20th Theoretical Seminar between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Communist Party of China.
General Secretary To Lam emphasized the importance of the highest-level mechanism for theoretical exchange between the two Parties over the past 20 years.
The General Secretary highly appreciated the success of the seminar, noting that it was a timely implementation of a common understanding at the high level, and had special significance in profoundly summarizing the important achievements and lessons learned of each Party and each country on the path to socialism in accordance with practical conditions. This success also contributed to the development of the theory of the modern socialist model, while demonstrating a high level of political trust between the two sides.

Li Shulei, Head of the Central Propaganda Department, expressed his sincere gratitude to General Secretary To Lam and General Secretary and President Xi Jinping for sending congratulatory letters to the conference.
He reported to the General Secretary that the two sides had successfully coordinated the organization of a special seminar, conducted in accordance with the common understanding of the two General Secretaries, to have in-depth and comprehensive exchanges on the path to socialism of the two countries in the new era of development.
In light of the positive developments in Vietnam-China relations, General Secretary To Lam affirmed that Vietnam always attaches great importance to and gives top priority to developing relations with China. In the current new era of development for the two nations, the two Parties and two countries need to continue to cooperate in solidarity and walk together steadily towards socialism.
Vietnam is determined to work with China to further deepen the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, promoting the building of a Vietnam-China Community of Shared Future, which is of strategic significance entering a new phase that is increasingly comprehensive, profound, and sustainable.
The General Secretary suggested that both sides focus on consolidating the important foundations of bilateral relations, including continuously strengthening political trust and strategic coordination between the two countries; promoting the special role of cooperation through Party channels and improving the effectiveness of cooperation mechanisms at all levels and through all channels.
The General Secretary suggested that both sides promote higher-level integration between the two economies; promote balanced and sustainable trade development; further strengthen cooperation in science and technology, especially in key new fields; and enhance the training of high-quality human resources.
The General Secretary suggested that both sides work together to maintain a peaceful and stable environment for mutual development.
Mr. Li Shulei affirmed that China has always considered Vietnam a priority in its neighborly foreign policy; and is ready to work with the Vietnamese Party and State to effectively implement high-level agreements and common understandings, strengthen political trust, deepen substantive cooperation, and elevate cooperation in culture, education, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges.

Earlier, on November 12th, in Ninh Binh province, the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Communist Party of China solemnly held their 20th theoretical seminar.
On the occasion of this special seminar, marking 20 years of regular theoretical exchanges between the two Parties, General Secretary To Lam and General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping sent congratulatory letters.
The two General Secretaries affirmed the important role of the highest-level theoretical exchange mechanism between the two Parties, demonstrating strategic vision, close ties, and shared responsibility in protecting, applying, and creatively developing Marxism-Leninism in accordance with the realities of each country, as well as the high level of political trust between the two Parties and the two countries.
In the letter, General Secretary To Lam stated that this is an important opportunity for the two Parties to have in-depth and comprehensive exchanges, clarifying theoretical and practical issues regarding the path to socialism in the new era of development.
The Communist Party of Vietnam is ready to work with the Communist Party of China to continuously deepen theoretical cooperation, share experiences on Party building, national development, and social governance, and promote the development of socialist theory in the era of globalization and the Fourth Industrial Revolution, for the benefit of the people of both countries and a brighter future for socialism in the world.
In the letter, General Secretary and President Xi Jinping emphasized that China and Vietnam are "good neighbors, good friends, good comrades, and good partners," a strategically significant community sharing a future. The in-depth theoretical exchanges between the two Parties contribute to exploring the path of socialist modernization in each country, promoting the development of world socialism, and continuously writing new chapters of friendship between the two Parties and two countries.
