At the invitation of Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al Sabah, Algerian Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb, South African President (G20 Chair 2025) Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh , his wife and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation will pay official visits to Kuwait and Algeria, attend the G20 summit and bilateral activities in South Africa from November 16 to 24.

The G20 is a globally influential mechanism, with the participation of all major countries and emerging economies with an increasing role, especially in promoting the participation and voice of developing countries in global governance. The G20 accounts for about 67% of the world's population, 85% of global GDP and 75% of international trade.

Vietnam has been invited to attend the G20 summit six times and participated in a number of cooperation initiatives within the G20 framework.

This year, the conference was held in Johannesburg, South Africa from November 22-23 with the theme "Solidarity, Equality and Sustainable Development".

Regarding Vietnam-Kuwait relations , the two countries established diplomatic relations on January 10, 1976. Two-way trade turnover in 2024 will reach about 7.3 billion USD. Vietnam exports to Kuwait products such as seafood, vegetables, cashew nuts, pepper, wood, spare parts, components, etc.

The Kuwaiti government recognized Vietnam as a market economy in February 2016.

Cooperation in education and training, labor, health, locality, and informal development aid has developed over time.

The Vietnamese community in Kuwait currently has about 200-300 people, mainly contract workers working mainly in the fields of domestic work, beauty, oil and gas, hotels...

Regarding Vietnam-Algeria relations, on October 28, 1962, the two countries established diplomatic relations. Algeria highly appreciated Vietnam's position in the region, the Algerian leaders and people admired the Dien Bien Phu victory, and had special affection for President Ho Chi Minh and General Vo Nguyen Giap.

The two countries regularly exchange delegations at high and all levels.

In 2024, Vietnam exported about 192.3 million USD to Algeria, mainly coffee, pepper, metals and chemicals; imported nearly 6 million USD, mainly vegetables, animal feed and raw materials. There are currently about 1,000 Vietnamese workers in Algeria, mainly working for foreign construction contractors.

In Algeria, there are four streets named after Vietnamese cultural celebrities, including two large avenues named after President Ho Chi Minh.

Currently, the number of Vietnamese people in Algeria is about 2,000 people, including officials, employees, engineers, workers and Algerians of Vietnamese origin.
