For over a decade, Vietnam International Fashion Week has established itself as a leading professional annual event in the region, contributing to spreading the image of Vietnamese fashion identity to the world. For its 20th season, the organizers have chosen the theme PureStyleShines – Unique Identity Creates Style, aiming to celebrate the beauty of individuality, encouraging each person to confidently express their own style and showcase their creativity.

The Chairwoman of Vietnam International Fashion Week, Ms. Trang Le, shared: “This season, we have the honor of welcoming numerous designers and fashion brands from countries across Southeast Asia, all participating to create a fashion week imbued with the spirit of integration, creativity, and unique identity… Entering a new era, our goal is to build a professional, sustainable, and distinctive Vietnamese fashion industry, so that Vietnam is not only a regional fashion destination but also a captivating creative hub of Southeast Asia.”

With that in mind, Ms. Trang Le stated that this year's Autumn/Winter collection will bring together 20 domestic and international fashion designers and brands (from Singapore, the Philippines, Indonesia, India, Cambodia, Laos, and China).

These collections not only bear a strong personal imprint but also tell the cultural story of each country. Among them are several individuals who have been involved with the program since its early seasons, such as Frederick Lee (Singapore), Francis Libiran (Philippines), and Priyo Oktavino (Indonesia).

A new feature of this year's season is the first-ever collaboration between the organizers and two prestigious fashion training institutions in the capital: Hanoi University of Architecture and Hanoi University of Industrial Fine Arts. Accordingly, designs from the best students of both universities will be showcased on a professional runway, providing an opportunity to interact with and learn from experts both domestically and internationally. This partnership aims to nurture a new generation of young designers, connect training with creative practice, and demonstrate the integration trend of Vietnamese fashion.

The Vietnam International Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2025 continued to feature two Vietnamese designers who opened and closed the show. Designer Vu Viet Ha presented her collection "Pure Origins," inspired by the epic "Birth of the Earth and Water" of the Muong ethnic group. Vu Viet Ha aimed to further affirm her journey of incorporating folk cultural elements into modern design language, allowing viewers to feel the pure spirit of Vietnamese culture in a contemporary context.

After participating in the show for three seasons, designer Cao Minh Tien will close the fashion week with his "Sleepwalking" collection, continuing the romantic, sophisticated, and distinctive style that has been associated with his name throughout his participation.

The Vietnam International Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2025 will take place from November 11-15 at the Quan Ngua Sports Palace (Hanoi).
