Associate Professor, Dr. Phan Quoc Anh (Dong Hai ward) has worked in the cultural field for many years. Although he has retired for many years, he still pays attention, continues to work and contribute to the cultural cause. Recently, as the oldest delegate representing intellectuals and scientists attending the 1st Congress of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030, Associate Professor, Dr. Phan Quoc Anh shared with Khanh Hoa Newspaper and Radio and Television about some contents related to cultural activities.

- What do you think about the cultural contents that were unanimously approved by the delegates in this congress?

- After days of serious and high-quality work, the delegates attending the congress passed the congress resolution with many important and strategic contents to plan the development direction of the province in the coming time. In addition to the goals of socio -economic development, the congress also paid great attention to taking care of people's lives, developing culture and people. I was very impressed when the resolution clearly stated the content of developing culture and people of Khanh Hoa in the coming term, in which the spending level for culture exceeded the average target of the whole country. That shows the attention of the Party Committee and the provincial government to culture and people, in addition to the task of economic development. Of course, the task set out to realize the contents of the resolution also has many difficulties, so each party member and the masses need to share responsibility to contribute, build and realize the resolution into life.

- Could you share more specifically about the expectations and goals for the province's cultural sector in the coming time, especially the preservation and promotion of traditional cultures of ethnic groups in the province?

- The Resolution of the 1st Provincial Party Congress closely followed the draft documents of the 14th National Party Congress, which paid great attention to the issue of culture and people. Khanh Hoa province currently has a large Cham and Raglai community, in addition to a number of other ethnic minorities. Together with the Kinh people, the ethnic minorities in the province create cohesion, solidarity and express a rich and unique cultural identity. Therefore, the preservation of traditional culture in general, and the traditional culture of ethnic minorities in particular, is placed in parallel with the attention to developing the lives and economy of the people, which will open up many new expectations. Because through the construction of infrastructure in remote areas; balancing the living standards of people between the plains and the mountains will promote the increasing demand for cultural enjoyment of the people. From there, the work of caring for people's lives, including cultural and spiritual life, will be better. In addition to the level of development, the congress resolution also pointed out that culture is the foundation of society, both the goal and the driving force of development. To do that, it requires the attention of local authorities at all levels, because preserving culture is the right step in building the future.

- One of the key tasks of the Culture sector is to contribute to the development of the Tourism sector, becoming a tourism product. In your opinion, what solutions does the province need to have to more effectively connect culture with tourism, tourism with culture?

- Khanh Hoa province is one of the national tourism centers and has very unique tourism products, including cultural tourism products. To continue developing cultural tourism products, promoting cultural values, especially the values ​​of relics and cultural heritages in tourism activities, the province needs specific solutions. First of all, it is necessary to focus on bringing the culture of the Cham, Raglai, Co Ho, Chu Ru ethnic groups... into tourism activities. To balance the promotion of cultural values ​​between regions in the province, there needs to be close connections, in which it is necessary to promote the role of tourism businesses, state management agencies of culture and tourism to advise provincial leaders on strategies and solutions to link culture with tourism in order to attract tourists to Khanh Hoa to learn and experience more types of culture. In addition, the province also needs to have specific plans and strategies for developing tourism activities in tourist destinations such as Ninh Chu, Binh Son, Vinh Hy, Mui Dinh, etc., thereby creating more high-class accommodation facilities and tourism infrastructure to attract visitors, especially international visitors. The province also needs to carefully calculate how to incorporate cultural products into tourism activities to meet the requirements of developing cultural industries in the direction of culture contributing directly to budget revenue, turning cultural products into tourism products, thereby creating livelihoods for people, especially ethnic minorities, artists and artisans.
