Enhancing local agricultural product brands
In the context of integration, science and technology are increasingly developing, besides constantly improving product quality, many enterprises, cooperatives and farming households in the province have made more efforts in building and developing brands for local agricultural products.
Director of Song Be Honey Company Limited (Dong Xoai Ward) Vu Tien Hoang shared: The company's honey products have been built and developed since 1997. The products have participated in many fairs and exhibitions to connect, promote, introduce images, and enhance brand value. The company wishes to connect with more chains of systems, retail channels, and distribution enterprises to continue to develop the consumer market and increase brand recognition to consumers in and outside the province.
Similarly, Director of Tam Tam An Pharmaceutical Company Limited Nguyen Van Khon (Hung Thinh Commune) said: The company has just had 2 products recognized as 5-star OCOP including: Phuc Hung Long Essential health protection food, Phuc Hung Long Premium health protection food. The company focuses on improving quality, perfecting value and developing brands for products suitable to the increasing needs of the market. In particular, the company wishes to connect with restaurant chains, hotels, and modern distribution channels to connect directly with consumers and tourists.
In recent times, Dong Nai province has implemented many programs to support businesses, agricultural cooperatives, and farming households to connect and support bringing local products to e-commerce platforms, promoting trade connection and trade promotion activities, contributing to bringing local agricultural products further.
Specifically, in July 2025, the Provincial Farmers' Association coordinated with FPT Polytechnic College Dong Nai to organize a livestream to sell the specialty of orange-leaf pomelos to help farmers in Tan Trieu ward. Thereby, opening a channel to connect and consume modern, potential products, contributing to helping pomelo farmers improve the brand of agricultural products. Most recently, in mid-September 2025, the Provincial Farmers' Association organized a Conference on Linking and Introducing Agricultural Products of Dong Nai Province.
Dong Nai province currently has 481 valid OCOP products, of which 109 products have achieved 4 stars and 11 products have achieved 5 stars. Many OCOP products are processed agricultural products such as: jackfruit, pineapple, taro, processed products from bananas, instant coffee, traditional coffee...
Connect with niche markets
In addition to traditional domestic and export markets, in the context of increasingly fierce market competition, many enterprises and agricultural cooperatives are looking for ways to connect products to some niche markets and specific customer segments to expand the market, gradually making an impression on the brand. When entering niche markets, enterprises and cooperatives need to focus on implementing marketing channels, sales, and brand promotion with specific plans to affirm their position with the internal strength of the enterprise and cooperative.
In Dong Nai province, modern distribution systems, supermarkets, and shopping centers are important channels to bring goods to consumers. Many local businesses and OCOP entities want to bring their products into retail chains to promote and connect stable consumption channels. In addition, many restaurant chains, hotels, and rest stops are also niche markets that many farmers, cooperatives, and small and medium-sized enterprises aim for to bring agricultural products closer to consumers in and outside the province.
Ms. Le Thi Hai, representative of Hai Viet Coffee Company Limited (Trang Dai Ward) said: The company is developing pure roasted coffee products that meet OCOP standards. Currently, the company's products are being supplied to wholesale and retail distribution systems, rest stops and are aiming to bring them to supermarket chains. The company hopes to connect with restaurant chains and tourist areas in the province with products with compact and convenient packaging to expand the market and develop the brand.
Director of Nhu Hoang Agricultural Trade and Service Cooperative (Tho Son commune) Truong Van Thanh said: Currently, the unit's salted roasted cashew nuts have met the 4-star OCOP standard. In addition to products supplied to many domestic and export markets, the cooperative has also developed more compact and convenient product lines to expand trade promotion activities, connect with restaurants, hotels, tourist attractions, service shops, thereby improving competitiveness and diversifying products on the market.
Deputy General Director of Dong Nai Hotel Lam Phu Quy shared: The hotel is in need of connecting, selecting, and introducing outstanding OCOP products of the province to introduce and supply at the hotel. The products need to ensure quality and related invoices and documents.
Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Dong Nai Farmers' Association Nguyen Huu Nguyen emphasized: The connection and cooperation between enterprises, cooperatives, OCOP entities and enterprises in the current period contributes to creating conditions to expand the consumption market, increase the competitive value, and contribute to the sustainable development of local agricultural products. In the coming time, the Provincial Farmers' Association will strengthen programs to promote and introduce local agricultural products in general and OCOP products in particular; as well as create opportunities for OCOP entities to connect with suppliers and enterprises to expand the market.
