Hanoi lowers admission scores for 8 schools, 'overflows' enrollment for 4 schools

GD&TĐ - On July 18, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training announced the additional admission scores (round 2) to grade 10 of public schools for the 2025-2026 school year.

The admission scores (first round) for grade 10 of specialized and non-specialized high schools were announced by the Hanoi Department of Education and Training on July 4, the same day students learned their exam results.

Candidates who passed the first round of admission to schools completed the admission confirmation procedure from July 10 to July 12.

Based on the number of students confirmed to enroll in each high school and the number of students lacking the quota, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training meets with schools to review and approve additional admission scores (phase 2).

When lowering the admission score, the school is allowed to accept students with the first, second, and third wishes who meet the additional admission requirements. Students who are admitted to the second wish must have an admission score at least 1.0 points higher than the school's additional admission score; students who are admitted to the third wish must have an admission score at least 2.0 points higher than the school's additional admission score.

Time: From 8:00 a.m. on July 19, 2025 to 5:00 p.m. on July 22, 2025. Admission for students admitted based on additional benchmark scores will be carried out directly at high schools (during office hours).

The Department of Education and Training also announced that two schools are recruiting students in full: Minh Quang High School and Phuc Loi High School.

Minh Quang High School is recruiting additional students throughout the city for students who are eligible for admission but are not admitted to their registered wishes and have an admission score of 12.00 points or higher (remaining quota: 63 students).

Phuc Loi High School is recruiting additional students throughout the city for students who meet the admission requirements but are not admitted to their registered wishes.

Along with that, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training has assigned enrollment targets to two newly established schools, Do Muoi High School and Phuc Thinh High School, each school is allowed to enroll 450 students. These schools are allowed to enroll students from the entire city for students who meet the admission requirements but are not admitted to their registered wishes and have an admission score of 12 points or higher.

Students must meet the admission requirements according to regulations but do not pass the registered wishes to be able to register for admission to one of the 4 schools: Minh Quang High School, Phuc Loi High School, Phuc Thinh High School, Do Muoi High School. The system allows students to change their registered wishes before 24:00 on July 22, 2025.
