The event provides an opportunity for students to demonstrate their critical thinking skills, hone their research methods, and foster academic creativity, thereby promoting the increasingly strong development of student scientific research at the university.
Attending the conference were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Le Cuong - Vice Rector; Dr. Chu Viet Thuc - Head of the Department of Scientific Management and International Cooperation; along with representatives from the leadership of faculties, departments, centers and a large number of students interested in scientific research activities.
In his opening remarks, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Le Cuong emphasized the important role of scientific research in university education: “Scientific research not only contributes to improving the quality of education, but is also one of the core elements that helps to form creative thinking, cultivate research, analysis and problem-solving skills for students.”
The University of Electrical Engineering always considers the development of scientific research activities among its students as a central task, encouraging participation in research from the very first years of study to accumulate knowledge, skills, and practical experience. Each research project, whether small or large, is an important step in helping students improve themselves and make a practical contribution to the overall development of the University.”
Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Le Cuong delivered a speech at the program.
“Over the past year, the scientific research activities of our students have shown significant development in both quantity and quality. Specifically, the number of research projects carried out in the 2024-2025 academic year is 169, an increase of 146% compared to the previous academic year (116 projects). Many of these projects have products with high application potential, and some research results have been published in prestigious scientific journals. This is a very positive sign, demonstrating the spirit of learning, creativity, and the aspiration to contribute of the generation of students at the University of Electrical Engineering,” shared Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Le Cuong.
Immediately after the opening ceremony, the school commended and rewarded individuals who achieved outstanding results in the scientific research movement during the 2024-2025 academic year.

This year's conference consists of two main parts: a plenary session and specialized technical sessions.
In the plenary session, students and guests listened to exemplary presentations such as: Research and design of wireless electronic gloves to improve hand gesture recognition on CNN and ViT; Study AI adoption in Vietnamese audit firms; Research and evaluation of the impact of circulating cooling water temperature on power and efficiency degradation of generating units at Quang Ninh Thermal Power Plant and proposed solutions; Techniques for correcting nonlinear distortion and amplitude phase correction in FMCW phased array radar receiving channels.
Following the program are technical sessions, organized in parallel according to specialized fields, providing opportunities for students to exchange ideas in greater depth about their research areas. These sessions include: the Faculty of New Energy and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering – Automotive and Construction; the Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications and the Faculty of Information Technology; the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and the Faculty of Control and Automation; the Faculty of Industrial and Energy Management, the Faculty of Accounting – Finance, and the Faculty of Business Administration and Tourism .
